| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.com Ekhart Tolle's message is simple: living in the now is the truest path to happiness and enlightenment. And while this message may not seem stunningly original or fresh, Tolle's clear writing, supportive voice, and enthusiasm make this an excellent manual for anyone who's ever wondered what exactly "living in the now" means. Foremost, Tolle is a world-class teacher, able to explain complicated concepts in concrete language. More importantly, within a chapter of reading this book, readers are already holding the world in a different container--more conscious of how thoughts and emotions get in the way of their ability to live in genuine peace and happiness. Tolle packs a lot of information and inspirational ideas into The Power of Now. (Topics include the source of Chi, enlightened relationships, creative use of the mind, impermanence, and the cycle of life.) Thankfully, he's added markers that symbolize "break time." This is when readers should close the book and mull over what they just read. As a result, The Power of Now reads like the highly acclaimed A Course in Miracles--a spiritual guidebook that has the potential to inspire just as many study groups and change just as many lives for the better. --Gail Hudson
Product Description
Now on CD, the best-selling Power of Now shows how a combination of Buddhist principles, meditation theory, and relaxation techniques can connect a person to “the eternal, ever-present One Life beyond the myriad forms of life that are subject to birth and death.” “A reminder to be truly present in our own lives.... The result? More joy, right now.” — O: The Oprah Magazine
Download Description Eckhart Tolle is emerging as one of today's most inspiring teachers. In The Power of Now, already a word-of-mouth bestseller in Canada, the author describes his transition from despair to self-realization soon after his 29th birthday. Tolle took another ten years to understand this transformation, during which time he evolved a philosophy that has parallels in Buddhism, relaxation techniques, and meditation theory but is also eminently practical. In The Power of Now he shows readers how to recognize themselves as the creators of their own pain, and how to have a pain-free existence by living fully in the present. Accessing the deepest self, the true self, can be learned, he says, by freeing ourselves from the conflicting, unreasonable demands of the mind and living present, fully, and intensely, in the Now.

Vedanta Yogi August 28, 2008 Mr. Ron D. Bexell One of the best books You could read in Your lifetime. The author is the " Real Deal ! ".
Start Here August 27, 2008 Eric J. Brey (Madison, WI USA) This book is a great introduction to living a peaceful life with a quiet mind. After reading this book my interest in achieving what Chopra discusses became very strong and since then I've continued down a more spirtual path. The concepts here are super simple, yet made complicated by the extreme power of the noisy mind.
Realizing only one thing: Now, release all imaginary past and future August 25, 2008 M. M. Konakanchi (USA) Power of now is the life changing book for many, nothing more than repeating same thing for many other. It all depends on our mental acceptance to understanding something new thought and experianceing who really we are. This book make more sense, if you practice meditation or life circumstances force you to so low that, you give up fighting your fear, thoughts or pain body suddenly. You can break past patterns of your life, you can see life more appreciting than what we thought, we realize we are sprititual beings experiancing human being. If you like reading this, I also recommend "New Earth" from same author. Some steps I felt I need to follow to be with being or now. 1) Know who are not. 2) Know your pain body (or all painful thoughts of past or future) 3) Know the difference between inner voice and you. Identify, how it's controlling you so far. 4) Know how inner voice or pain body thought keep trying to entertain you, the moment you accept it. How it vanish in thin air, when put attention or focus on it. 5) Continue practice Now by focusing on your body sensations or circumstances, instead of going with inner thought. 6) Understanding that, focus on now comes with out much thought now. 7) This is begnning of end of compulsive thinking of pain body. Attaining oneness with being, peace, stillness, joy of being. 8) Continue your practice power of now, after some time, you no longer needs to practice. You become being and live in now. N'joy the life form of you.
Learn to enjoy your life NOW August 25, 2008 Julia Kent (Detroit, Michigan USA) I thoroughly recommend this book...it explains why we humans act the way we do and it gives easy to read ideas to change old stuck patterns in order to bring total harmony and peace to your world and relationships. It explains what is happening in the world and why we are experiencing the things we are. Acceptance is the key, let go and heal your life. I am priviledged to have read this book....it is part of life's lessons.
Delightfully insightful August 25, 2008 C. L. McGlothlin (Louisiana, USA) This book offers a refreshing insight into the mind that you wont get from society. Simple to read and deep with reason, Eckhart has delivered the philosophy of the new decade.
