Really good! October 5, 2008 Liliana M. Balcazar (USA) This book is really simple and easy to study from, I am preparing for my GRE and it has been a huge help!
GRE Preparation Ongoing August 28, 2008 Jesus A. Duenas (Riverside, CA) Certainly better than taking a GRE-prep class. Worth the money I paid for this book, exams were extremely helpful, the other sections didn't give too much more than common sense would suggest.
Outstanding Study Tool August 25, 2008 kate (dublin, ireland) If you intend to take the GRE, you'd be silly not to get this book. It's written by ETS, the body responsible for the GRE. It's a book filled with old tests plus explanations of every single answer. I have also have the Princeton Review general guide and this is great to use in tandem. This is a knockout buy.
Good complement, but certainly not enough August 2, 2008 M. C. Pineda 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It is a good book because it has former GRE questions and the students can see the level of difficulty of each question. But needs to be complemented with a goood review of strategies and a much better math review. One problem of this book is that the questions that presents are so old that it does not include new topics.
Great for drilling AFTER you have learned strategies July 29, 2008 Kathryn at College Prep Tutoring (San Diego, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These are REAL tests published by the test-makers. This is the best way to practice for the GRE once you have learned the Kaplan strategies. When I tutor my GRE students, we start with the Kaplan Comprehensive Program book to learn the skills and strategies, then practice with this book. This book is written by the test-makers, so the first part of the book covers more material than is actually tested. I do not use this part of the book with my students, but the REAL tests are invaluable! One problem with this book is that there are not explanations for each question. That would be because the test-makers aren't about to give away all their tricks and secrets! That's why it's important to study the strategies promoted by the companies that exist for the purpose of helping students to succeed on this test. (My choice is Kaplan.)
