| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Includes titles about the last years of the Reagan presidency, George Bush's presidency, and the first two years of Bill Clinton's presidency. The list of periodicals has been expanded and revised considerably. Additionally, the titles now contain useful abbreviations that detail whether the texts include maps, diagrams, illustrations, glossaries, and appendixes.

A summary of books, articles, and other reference sources April 12, 2002 Midwest Book Review (Oregon, WI USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Now in a revised and updated second edition, American Naval History: A Guide by academician and Naval Reservist Paolo E. Coletta is a very special type of nautical reference. Its entire contents are devoted to listing the titles, authors, publishers, page count and very brief (no more than a single phrase) summary of books, articles, and other reference sources, all dealing with the history of the American Navy from the 1600s to the present day. American Naval History: A Guide is an excellent and highly recommended addition to academic library reference resources, with its entries arranged by era and complete with an index for easy reference.
