T he U.S. Navy March 25, 2005 The title of my book is the U.S. Navy. The purpose is to give info. about the Navy's gigantic ships and planes. For example, This book tells us about battleships and fighter jet's like the F-14. The Tomcat is a supersonic interceptor jet with two crew members. The Tomcat went on its first mission in 1975 and covered the evacuation at Saigon. From the early 1990's the F-14's were given the ability to drop bombs and has been used as a strike fighter ever since. Jared S.
