Product Description He’s hot. He’s tough. He’s dangerous...
Bestselling suspense writer Taylor O’Toole has a huge problem--almost overnight, her quiet, humdrum life is starting to resemble one of her novels. Who knew that a little unofficial surveillance for a friend would backfire--throwing her into the crosshairs of a stalker? And why does her sexy new neighbor always seem to turn up when things start heading south?
He’s a Navy SEAL with a top secret mission: her!
When Navy SEAL Jack Broussard is called back from a dangerous mission, the last thing he expects is a top secret assignment protecting a beautiful mystery writer. Jack can drop a kidnapper with his bare hands, run airtight surveillance, and cook a mean lasagna, but tangling with his unpredictable neighbor is enough to drive any man crazy. Like it or not, his new orders are to keep Taylor O’Toole in his sights--after all, she could be a key link in the government search for a missing Navy scientist. But when an attempt on Taylor’s life ratchets up the stakes, Jack knows he’d better watch his heart. Because suddenly the chase is on . . . and seduction has never been so close. Or so dangerous.

Not So Hot Pursuit October 15, 2008 IndigoRaiyne (Aiken, SC) I enjoyed the first quarter of the book and then it just started to drag. And it dragged on and on and on. I never felt the chemistry between Jack and Taylor. The two didn't even kiss until nearly three quarters of the way through the book and the sex didn't start until the end. Not that I read the book for the sex, but usually there is sex in a romance and this didn't occur until almost the end. I would say the end was mostly sex with a few pages wrapping up the story they began in the beginning. I would have liked this book better if it was better paced. A better mixture of romance and intrigue. This one just doesn't quite make it. I also didn't understand the entire thing about Taylor's adoption. It added nothing. It was also never resolved save a few paragraphs in the epilogue. I would also like to know what happened with Annie and the baby. All we know is that she was fine. I loved Izzy in Going Overboard and was thrilled to see him again in this book. I also liked Taylor and Jack, I just never understood why they were together and I was often annoyed at Taylor for disregarding the advice Jack was giving her even though she was being hunted by Albanians. Overall, I was unsatisfied with this book. It had potential. Too many things were left unresolved and it felt like there was too much going on at times.
typical March 2, 2008 grandma as usual. spirited and dedicated really mean heroine is actually STUPID and STUBBORN taylor is no exception.
Irritating Heroine July 13, 2004 tsfan12 (Chula Vista, CA USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I loved Skye's Draycott Abbey series, but it was shear will trying to finish this book. This heroine, Taylor was unbelievably selfish, argumentive, with no sense. She places people in danger because she thinks "she's right" and "what could possibly be wrong?". People were trying to "protect her" and all she could think of was herself. I liked Jack, no only was he a hunky SEAL- but had patience of a saint to put up with her. The plot was good, but had inconsistencies as described in other reviews. I would have rated this book 5 stars if it had a sharper heroine, more insight in "Jack's mind" and a smoother and snappy writing.
Fun, fast, entertaining..... September 23, 2003 Jojo (Oklahoma) This one will be on my keepers shelf.... it's part of Christina Skye's Navy SEAL series & I think it's been the best one yet. (Although I will have to admit that it's been a while since I've read the other two... 'Going Overbaord' and 'My Spy'). 'Hot Pursuit' kept me entertained with all the things I look for in a action romance - action, adventure, quick wit, sexy-as-all-get-out hero, intelligent heroine (except once in this story), very hot, hot love scenes (enough to make this girl fan herself!). The ending was well-rounded and really surprised me - but I'll have to admit that one of my questions was not answered...but I can't say what it was or it would be a spoiler. Anyway, if you like fast action romance, do this one!
