The Unsung Hero November 11, 2008 Ellie (Washington, DC) After a near-fatal head injury, Navy SEAL lieutenant Tom Paoletti catches a terrifying glimpse of an international terrorist in his New England hometown. Surprisingly, I LOVED it!!! October 22, 2008 E. Raiford (Brooklyn, NY) This is definitely not my type of romance. I don't like military, I rarely like modern settings, and...well...it just didn't sound like my cup of tea, but it was highly recommended to me. Right off the bat, I liked the way the author wrote, the first one of hers I'd ever tried. Before long, I was pretty engrossed. Kelly was very likable, and Tom...whoa...hottie. Then the minor characters and their romances began to develop, and I was hooked. I could not put the book down...read until well after midnight, got up and read again at 6am, then raced home from work to finish. I teared up a lot and cried a number of times, especially at the end. I think my favorite was the romance between David and Mallory. When the story started, I didn't know where things were going, but I liked that. It made the result that much more rewarding. I can't wait to read the second book, even though I wasn't a fan of Sam in this book.
not impressed July 22, 2008 D. Campbell (Glendale, Arizona United States) I had a hard time getting into this book. The flash backs of the two WWII men was way too much, I ending up skipping through most of it because I really didn't care about it! I wanted to read about Tom and Kelly but everything else took the most spotlight. Even the action development with the terrorist got pushed to the side because of the old men's relationship and history. The action was in the last few pages of the book. If there had been more focus on the hero/heroine relationship and the terrorist plot I would have given this a 5 star because it was well written.
Exciting, passionate! Loved it! May 31, 2008 J. Skinner (Chula Vista, CA) This is my favorite book from this author to date! I can't begin to express how much this book has kept me enthralled for weeks! There are basically 3 different storylines here and the author has ingeniously weaved them together to make it into one passionate and exciting plot. I laughed, i cried, i got frustrated, i got angry, and i felt for each character as they went through their own specific pain and anguish. Lots of emotions and passion in this one! Suzanne Brockmann is truly a gifted writer!
Well written, touching, well worth the read. April 21, 2008 LL (New York) I read this book in record time. It is a beautifully written and touching story. Tommy is...WOW! I am looking forward to reading more about the other members of the Troubleshooters.
