5 out of 5 stars A Must Read   August 13, 2008
T. Bridges (Montgomery, AL)
Selling Your Company the Easy Way, is another example of Mark Jordan's commitment to middle market business owners and the business sales process. He masterfully covers topics that all business owners must understand when considering a company sale. Mark takes the guess work out of the important issues associated with the sale of a business once and for all.

5 out of 5 stars Finally,a simple straightforward guide to selling!   August 13, 2008
Rex Slagel (Chicago, IL)
As an investment banker I look for tools to offer my clients that help address this complicated process. Sellers have difficulty understanding the sequential events and mental preparation that coincide with the deal. Mark's book lays this information flat on the table without the typical glare of "banker-ease" that prevents thorough comprehension. Read it!

5 out of 5 stars Thank you   July 29, 2008

This book explains the complicated process of selling your business in simple terms. This is a must read for all business owners, regardless of your intent to sell. We are all in business to maximize value, and this book explains how to maximize your businesses value and how to capture just that. Thank you for insight.

5 out of 5 stars A Must Read   July 28, 2008
Dan Ellsworth (Atlanta, GA)
Selling your Business the Easy Way is a must ready for every business owner---regardless of current desire to sell.

The easy to read practices and tools offered in this book create a more functional organization `today'---- while educating the reader of "Do's and Dont's" in selling a business `tomorrow'.

For the 5 million small to mid sized businesses in the US, I strongly suggest buying this book and applying these concepts.

Since we never know when life changing events occur (health, family, financial), being armed with the basics of grooming your business for sale "someday" is an essential tool that all owners need.

I strongly recommend it to anyone who owns a business----and it's a must ready to anyone who "someday" thinks about selling his / her business. A+

5 out of 5 stars The right pre-sale preperation   July 28, 2008
William B. Contessa
As an investment banking practitioner, Mark knows that the more the business owner understands the pre and post sale process, the smoother it will go and the better the outcome for everyone. Mark's book prepares and educates the business owner about the various factors he or she will have to deal with along a road that could take a year or more to travel to a successful conclusion. What will buyers look for? How do I deal with my various advisers? Are my expectations of price and terms realistic? The process of selling a privately held business is often gut-wrenching for an owner. For those embarking on the sale of their business, reading Mark's book will pay big dividends in better sleep and reduced stress. I would also advice financial advisers of all types to read this book so they can better counsel their business owner clients who may seek their advice on the subject.
