Pretty Simple- Combine with The Diet for Teenagers Only February 25, 2007 Jill P. Nannizzi (Alameda, CA, USA) 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought both "The Diet for Teenagers Only" and "Toning for Teens" by Joyce Vedral about 10 days ago, and I have already noticed a difference. Combining the healthy eating plan with the exercise program is already affecting me. I feel stronger (but a little sore) and I have more energy. Also, I have lost about 5 pounds! So I would call that a good start, if you do the math 10 days/5 pounds = 1/2 pound per day. These are two very smartly written books and they can help you on you goal to a healthy lifestyle!

This is a great book for teens that need to get back into shape after a season off from a sport.
Perfect for teens who want to shape up - if you have time. September 22, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This workout certainly works. It definitely has done everything that it's promised it would. I've only been following the program for about three weeks, and I've noticed a drastic difference. I'm 19 years old, and even though I am in no way overweight, doing this program regularly has helped me lose over five pounds in the three-week span I've been doing it... and I haven't even been following the diet. I do warn people not to expect your first time to fly by in the 20 minutes it says. As a matter-of-fact, until you learn each exercise and the order that they are given, it will probably take at least an extra 10 minutes. The upper body workout is much faster than the lower body, with which I have a lot more trouble, and even now it takes atleast 30 minutes. Overall, this book is fantastic for weight training. I just think people need to know that the workouts may take a little longer than expected. Also, I wish the book would have put more emphasis on the need for some sort of cardio workout along with the weight training.

The workout was great..I did notice a difference. However, her nutrition section is wrong. There are better books out there than this one for weight/strength training.
Great Workout Book For Teens! December 3, 2005 A.M.H. (Michigan) 5 out of 6 found this review helpful
This book has helped me out a lot! Just to add a point, for all the people that are saying that the diet part of this book isn't good for you at all, it actually is...if you're a person over weight. The books states in the beginning that you should only do the exercises if you aren't over weight. If you are over weight try the exercises and do the diet plans. It was very easy for me to follow and the pictures were great! If you want to tone your body and/or lose weight...this is the right book for you!
