Product Description
Navy SEAL unit Mobile 4 does not exist. The U.S. military does not acknowledge them. The White House has never heard of them. And no one who has ever seen them in action has lived to tell about them?

Lt. Robert Getts and his men have had more than their share of dangerous assignments. But when a mission is sabotaged from within, the best of friends will soon become hunter and prey.

Their job is by-the-book. Kidnap a despotic terrorist from his Balkan hideout and deliver him to an international tribunal to face charges of war crimes. Instead, their target is assassinated by a lone member of the team acting under orders from a mysterious government operative. Furious that one of his men has turned rogue, Getts refuses to go along with the cover story. Soon he finds himself being hunted down by members of his own team. Outnumbered and outgunned by the most elite killers in the world, he's about to fight a war in which betrayal is paid back with blood...

5 out of 5 stars Once Again Mike Murray is AWESOME   November 1, 2001
Madeline Z. Ruiz (McAllen Texas United States)
I am so hooked on these books it's crazy. I have now read the series twice and am waiting for the next book to come out. This series would make a GREAT movie.

Anyone who loves action packed military books with tons of surprises will love this series. I highly highly recommend these books to everyone who loves being entertained intelligently!

3 out of 5 stars Not as good as other SEAL stories...   September 13, 2001

I've been a longtime reader of books on the SEAL Teams, both fiction and fact. While this book did have some excellent moments and the characters stayed true to themselves, I can only really give it an average grade. The writing didn't truly grab me, and the characters, at times, seemed more like cardboard cutout supermen. At times, they didn't have any depth, and seemed interchangeable with one another.
Personally, I would suggest Marcinko's Rogue Warrior and Keith Douglass' Seal Team Seven over this series. Marcinko's stories may be somewhat unbelievable and a bit egotistical, but they're fun. ST7's characters have a bit more depth to them, and do not come across as nigh invulnerable.

4 out of 5 stars Insurrection by M Murray- a Great Read   May 14, 2001
Kent H (Ca, USA)
How many times do we see a movie with so many special effects that the story is lost and we walk away saying "if they had only done this". Mike Murray does that, the characters are smarter and don't just respond to what happens, that's why they are in the elite forces to begin with. Sometimes I wonder if "Rogue" warriors have a brain, not the case in "RED", they come accross as real people with just different views. The book is a page turner wether it's an action scene or character study. GOOD BOOK.

4 out of 5 stars Teamwork   January 15, 2001
Teamwork is the main focus of this book. Team and teamwork definitions changed depending on the character and the circumstances. Because of this I found it difficult to really like any of the characters.

I found Getts' final conclusions disappointing.

Was it "true to life", accurate, or "correct use of military personnel? Heck, if I know! It was a good read though.

I was very disappointed with this book...I believe that the lay out of it was set up good but the events of what was going on was really bad. I was looking for something along the lines of like seal team seven books. But this one was a big waste of time.
