5 out of 5 stars Simply perfect!!!   September 24, 2008

I don't know why people are complaining at all about this stand. It absolutely did the job for me. I hate dragging my computer on my wood floors back and forth. It scratches the floors. This is a much easier way. The wheels have locking features, which is nice. It looks very nice and not cheap. Also it supports my computer on all sides. I would highly recommend it.

5 out of 5 stars Works for me!   July 19, 2008

Very pleased with the quick delivery, all the parts were included, a snap to assemble, and it works for me!

Due to limited real estate space on my desk,I have my CPU tower on the floor which is carpeted. Although I blow the dust bunnies out every few months, I am glad I finally decided to purchase this particular CPU Stand which raises the tower several inches off the floor.

Other reviewers mentioned that it is just a cross-bar stand (which it is) and had trouble moving the tower and stand intact over carpeting. I have moved my tower on the stand (rolled it out from underneath my desk) several times just to test the stability and had no problems with the tower slipping off or the Kantek Stand expanding. It may be wise to measure your CPU tower and compare your measurements to the manufacturer's stated measurements, and consider whether your tower is going to be put through frequent, heavy-duty moving before purchasing.

And yes,as other reviewers have noted, you do not have complete access to removing the tower's side panel to clean out the dust bunnies or servicing the components due to the "arms" on the four corners (see product picture) supporting the tower. You do have to remove the tower from the stand when you want to remove the tower's side panel to clean or service the components. For me, this is a very minor problem as the Kantek CPU Cabinet Tower Stand has so many other benefits-wheel locks, good and substantial product that raises the tower off the floor several inches, holds towers weighing up to sixty pounds, and the black stand looks great!

3 out of 5 stars Works, mostly   June 13, 2008

Of all the CPU stands available on Amazon I got this one, thinking the all black color would go well with my computer's case.

Pros: It assembles very easily. It's adjustable. All four casters lock. It's sturdy.

Cons: There's no way to "lock" the device so it doesn't adjust while your computer is on it. My computer slides on it very easily, and if I want to move my computer I've got to grab the stand, not just my computer.

Thoughts: It would be nice if this thing had a rubberized surface on the parts that come in contact with the computer to help hold the CPU in place and prevent scratching. It would also be nice if there was some way to lock it so once your computer is in it, it won't open up.

4 out of 5 stars Worth the money   February 16, 2008

Definitely a great idea to have the computer off the ground. And being on wheels is a nice convenience when hooking up & unhooking components. My only gripe is that if you're not careful when you are moving it, the computer will slide off. But that's easily avoided by simply moving it slowly and holding on to both the computer & base. For the price, it's well worth it. There are more expensive models that may hold the computer in more securely, but I almost never need to move it, anyway, so this one is working just fine for me. Certainly a great price.

5 out of 5 stars Good stand   February 12, 2008

Easy to assemble, and works well.

I don't move my PCs around that much, just using it to keep them off the floor from dust/water.
