Brunton Lite Tech 10x42 June 16, 2005 Homer (San Jose, CA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
These binos have good optics and lite gathering ability. However, the minimum focus distance is about 19' which is not great. Also, the eye spacing is strange in that I have to move the eyepieces as close together as possible to create the field of view. I am ususally in the center of the range on other binoculars. The neck strap included is inadequate so I'll have to buy another. For the price I'm happy with them.
Great clarity and value for mid-size binoculars! December 27, 2003 Lynn (Havertown, PA United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Just got these binoculars for Christmas, so I've only used them for backyard birding for two days, but I'm very impressed. Once I made the custom adjustments for my eyes (one perfect, one very near-sighted), focusing became so quick and precise. I had been borrowing a pair of Zeiss 8x20 compact folding pocket binoculars, which currently sell for twice the price of the Bruntons, and I much prefer my new Bruntons. The Zeiss were much lighter and smaller but difficult to focus in a hurry. The Bruntons may be a bit bulkier to carry on hikes, but the quick focusing, rubber armor and weather-proofing make up for the extra size and weight. The clarity is as good as if not better than the Zeiss. Can't wait to use these in the great outdoors.
