Other features include a service search and weather scan, listening to TV on the radio (channels 2-13), and an alarm clock with snooze function. In addition to your favorite broadcast channels, this clock radio keeps you in tune with public safety, police and fire departments, NOAA weather reports, and more. With channel memory, this unit scans frequencies at a rate of up to 60 channels per second to help you find the channel you're looking for. If you know exactly what you want, direct channel access let's you quickly dial in to your favorite channel. For faster scanning, you can even use a channel/frequency lockout function to skip over stored frequencies. This clock radio scanner has all the functions of regular radio/alarm clock. The scanner, in standby mode, displays the time. The alarm clock can sound up to 20 minutes or be shut off manually. A convenient snooze button lets you silent the alarm for an extra five minutes. Good scanner for the price September 21, 2008 My review I've had the Uniden 100 channel scanner about a month and a half. It has been my first scanner. I primarily have it set for my city's police broadcasts and listen to it while I'm reading or doing other projects. It's been informative to have that information and entertaining as well. I haven't had any problems with it in the time that I've had this scanner. The only thing I was a little disappointed about was that I didn't seem to be able to pick up any other types of scans besides police traffic when I tried to let it scan for things like air traffic, medical helicopter, etc. However, I'm not ruling out that in this day and age perhaps those channels are blocked or perhaps the area I live in doesn't have reception, but I didn't have any luck finding other types of scanning to listen to. Although I have enjoyed being able to get the police scanning on this scanner and I feel safer that I have that information accessible.

I bought this for my boyfriend for our anniversary and at first it was difficult to program. The radio was easy but when we got to the scanner part I was about to throw it out the window b/c it was tough to proram. A friend who owns a scanner came over and programmed it for us without using the directions. At first it was somewhat difficult to program everything, but once we were shown how to do it, it works great! My boyfriend absolutly loves the shape of it, the blacklight, & the alarm clock! I would buy it again and would recommend this product to anyone who wants a good scanner for a good price!
Uniden 100-Channel Clock Radio Scanner September 7, 2008 Frank A. Crabtree (Edina, Mo. USA) I am mostly satisfied with this scanner. The only problem with it is it locks on the wrong frequency sometimes. I think this probably happens with all programable scanners. No other complaints. Frank

I was really disappointed with this item. It looks great in the picture. The tuning was awkward and difficult. Keep looking in my opinion.
Scanner great for a church June 2, 2008 D. Sherman I purchased the scanner for a church. Not only was it helpful for having a radio to be informed about local events, but the weather radio was very useful when bad weather aproached, and we needed to turn off our computers. The scanner was just plain fun and interesting...maybe a little disturbing at times. I would highly recommend this to anyone, especially a business, because this is an old church and built of thick concrete walls and radios don't usually work here, but this one does. Good product, easy to use!
