Other than technical defect, good printer November 13, 2008 Mom of three I've had my printer for about 10 months. I loved it in the beginning. For the price, I thought it was a great printer (and still do think the quality printing is good). My problem is that after about 5 months, the paper feeder would no longer feed paper into the printer. The rollers would roll, but wouldn't catch the paper to feed it in. I called Canon and they sent me a refurbished one to replace it and paid the shipping to return the old one. I was happy with their prompt response, and I do disagree with reviews saying Canon's service is bad. I would give this product 4 stars, but I'm waiting to see if I'll have the same problem with my replacement printer first.

Excellent utility printer. even good with photos. only frustration...the ink cartridges are tiny. I have to change them often.
So Far...So Good October 12, 2008 Eliza Cole (CT) I ordered this product based on its capabilities and after reading a lot of reviews. I have a small business and use it for basic printing. Its a little slow (processing) but works very well...plus it was easy for me to install and I know very little about computers/accessories. I would recommend it for light printing needs....
New Printer October 12, 2008 bluejlandscaper (Buffalo, NY) I am very satisfied with the printer. I like Canon Printers. I own 2 others. They do a great job of printing and they are very economical to operate.

Canon Pixma MP470 Photo All-In-One Inkjet Printer (2177B002) I bought a Canon MP470 for my wife. She is a school teacher so I thought that she could use something like this at home, a printer/copier/scanner, so she doesn't have to wait in line during school hours. Anyway, I bought this product thru Amazon thinking that this was a great deal... $75 for an all in one! I was so wrong. It worked fine for about a month and then there was a mysterious paper jam. I searched and searched but there was not even a fragment of paper in the machine. So, we tried again. We purchased the same model from a local dept store. I set up the machine and this time it did not even print one page successfully. The printer would not feed the paper thru to print, then again I received the annoying paper jam error when nothing even made it to the printer. My advice. Pay a little extra. $75 for an all in one is too good to be true. Your machine may be working fine now but the time will come. I have spent more than $75 of my own time trying to troubleshoot. Instead, I am going back to the manufacturer and demanding my money back... not a replacement... a full refund. This was my first Canon product. I thought they had a good reputation in this market, but I guess they tried to get too cheap. Never again... I will stick with Lexmark or Epson from here on out for my printing needs.
