A necessity if you're serious about studying modern Hebrew. Comprehensive and easy to understand. Index for finding the verb of your choice is a little difficult to follow.501 Hebrew Verbs : Fully Conjugated in All the Tenses in a New Easy-To-Follow Format alphabetically Arranged by Root

5 out of 5 stars so fabulous i have no words!   July 28, 2007

This book is so great! I just realized today (July 28, 07) that a new edition just came out. However; as most of the other reviewers have said,
this book has a few little problems which I hope were fixed in the new edition. Since the new edition does not have the "search inside" feature I can't tell you if they were corrected or not
1. It it printed from right to left, and those of us who are accustomed
to praying from left to right will find it confusing.
2. You must have a good base from which to pick out the words you are looking for because there are ALOT OF WORDS IN THERE TO REMEMBER!
3. READ THE EXPLANATIONS on how to look up the verbs, otherwise
you will not know what is going on. It took me a while to figure it out
4. a little hint; At the top of each conjugation it says, for example,
"to become complicated" you will see all the conjugations in present past future and command versions only for "to become complicated" the next
paragraph will say "to complicate" with the same conjugations of only
this form of the verb. Then the next paragraph will say "to become complicated", with the same forms of the verb
the part I actually enjoy the most is the sentences (lots of them!) using
all forms of the verb, and colloquial usage of the verbs. You learn tons
just by reading those sentences! Thank you Mr. Bolozky!

4 out of 5 stars extremely useful   March 5, 2007

I am several months into seriously trying to learn Hebrew, at the point where I need to expand my verbs and get a better feel for conjugational patterns. There's one helpful Hebrew Verbs website, but other than that, full conjugations of a wide range of verbs with the vowel markings to guide pronunciation is nowhere to be found.

But yes, I broke the binding the second day -- it seems to be holding up to constant use, but you have to lay something heavy across it to keep it flat while you're reading.
