APC Good Buy! Good Investment! June 25, 2008 Veronica Sanchez Garcia (Pomona, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been using this APC product for the last 5 years and had my first mishap recently. We had a power surge(SoCal Edison), in our 50 year old home, that fried our toaster, but all the appliances plugged into our two APC surge protecter survived the surge. Unfortunately, the APC surge protecters did not do so well. I was on the phone the next day with APC and they were ready to file a claim on all the appliances destroyed, WOW, but I told them that their products both burned out. They shipped two new surge protecters and I shipped the old ones back. Kudos to APC for great products and service.
misleading labelling June 16, 2008 Dan Perlmutter (NYC) This product was advertised as handling two discrete 'phone lines, but it has only two leads in the 'phone socket (i.e., for a single line). I replaced it with a Dynex from BestBuy, which had 4 leads, for two-line protection, at, incidentally, a far better price.
All-in-One Protector March 30, 2008 Sumit Mukherjee (Stockton, CA, USA) This surge protector can offer everything you are looking for, it can protect your gadgets from surge for cable, internet, phone and power connections. 11 outlets! Lifetime warranty from APC! However, don't know whether it will actually do the job when surge may occur!!!
It does the Job January 1, 2008 DWC (San Diego, CA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product does the job its intended to do. No muss, no fuss, no problems. WARNING: However, the plugs are covered to protect against foreign objects and dust, but this feature also makes it difficult for older or less capable individuals to force the plugs into the receptacle. While this is no big deal for the young, those with joint problems may encounter difficulties.
APC quality product with one flaw. October 8, 2007 J. Sekula 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
APC always makes great products and I stand by them 100%, but this one does have one annoying characteristic. The safety covers for the outlets that are built in require you to insert the plug in at a VERY specific angle, and jiggle it in. It took me a few minutes to get the hang of it, but after that, I was OK.
