This is one awesome keybord! August 29, 2008 Ry (Scottsdale, Arizona) Though I have hardly any experience with many different keyboards, I must say that the Logitech diNovo Edge is totally killer! It's wireless (Bluetooth). Typing on its low profile keys is virtually silent. It has a built-in mouse pad which can be adjusted--through downloadable software--to work as good, if not better, than a standard mouse. At only 11mm thick, it's as down-right sexy a keyboard can be! Plus, though I've only been told this by Logitech tech support, its rechargeable battery may take only overnight to charge (on the included charging stand) but, it needs recharging ONLY every TWO MONTHS or so. WOW! Now, no one can deny, that's absolutely incredible! I could probably go on and on about its features and how cool it is but, that would just take too long. The Edge's only drawback--and it's a small one---is that it has no numbers key pad, just the numbers at the top, below the function keys. Truly, no big deal though. Basically, this is one awesome keyboard!!! Logitech diNovo Edge (967685-0403)
One fatal flaw makes a near perfect product useless August 26, 2008 James Morehead (San Francisco, CA United States) One critical failure on Logitech's part makes a near perfect keyboard useless. You cannot disable the double-click feature on the touchpad - and the touchpad is very sensitive. As a result you end up frequently double-clicking when you don't intend to. Had to return mine as a result. If you look on the Logitech support board you'll see many posts about this issue. Logitech says it is a hardware limitation so don't count on a software fix. Very disappointing that Logitech Product Management didn't get it right on a critical feature. Recommmendation - look elsewhere or wait until Logitech fixes this problem in a new version of the hardware.
best of the best August 24, 2008 Mohd A. Buqraiss this logitech item is the most tech advanced smooth keyboard ever .. also the shipping was fast and delivered as it was discribed .
Excellent match for the Imac August 23, 2008 William E. Penaloza (Miami, Florida United States) Anybody who owns the new IMAC must get this keyboard, i dont know why apple has the best designed computer machine out there and the keyboard and mouse are so ugly, i bought this and i am thrilled, the best purchase i had made this year, instalation was a breeze, Steve pls take notice, pity i cant use the apple mighty mouse as a doorstop.
ARE REPLACEMENTS ANY BETTER? August 20, 2008 TezaRose (Kentucky USA) Three stars only for the huge inconvenience I'm about to incur. I would very much like to see an update or comment from someone who's returned this keyboard, DUE TO THE BATTERY NOT HOLDING ITS CHARGE, and hear whether or not the replacement has had the same problem. Bought mine 6 mos ago; problem with recharging began a month ago. I get 23 days on a full charge, but it drops 3 days from one day to the next, so I'm sure the battery is on its deathbed. I tried everything Logitech support suggested: cleaning the metal contacts on the keyboard, making sure the keyboard is properly/firmly seated on the charger, and using a different electrical outlet. Nothing helped. The recharging problem aside, I love typing on this keyboard. Yes, it's far from perfect and I hate the price I had to pay for it. But having tried more keyboards for my desktop than I care to admit, and hating all of them for their clickety-click inability to keep up with fast typing, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven when I first tried this one. This keyboard may not be for the person still having to put in any sort of 8-hr day with different software programs. But for plain, simple typing, this keyboard is it. Believe me, there is none better. I disagree with the one reviewer who felt the Bluetooth technology was useless at a desktop. The older wireless keyboards still required a cut-out in the back of my desk, to get the "remote" unit within range. Having no wire at all - to get tangled with others or also collect dust - is fantastic. I don't use the circular touch-disk very often. I opted instead to buy Logitech's VX Nano mouse, the one made especially for laptops. I love the small size; it's super fast. And it fits nicely next to the diNovo with room left over on the keyboard shelf. Last, is there anyone out there - who will admit to having purchased a SECOND diNOVO, so as not to be without it while the first is sent off for repair or replacement? I'm thinking about it.
