great cancelation and excellent sound quality September 6, 2008 Jeremy J. Chapman (Wrentham, MA) My co-worker bought these to drown out the office banter and the hum of computer fans, server racks, a refrigerator and the less than tranquil sound of his neighbor chewing. He swore by them so much that I bought my own pair and I love them. I'm sitting in my living room next to an air conditioner and I can't even tell it's on. It also does a great job of blocking out my screaming parrots. When I'm playing music through them the sounds quality is amazing. Another great thing about these is that while they block out low frequency hums, you can still have a conversation with people while wearing them. A great product, well worth the money.
Item failed out of the box - suspect poor quality control September 5, 2008 Happy Home 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was happy to pull the item out the box, and immediately disappointed that I could only get sound from one side. Eventually I isolated the problem to a faulty stereo jack in the headphone. Insultingly, Panasonic made me pay to ship the item to their place in Texas, and adding injury to the insult, sent me a "factory refurbished" unit in its place. This should be illegal. I paid for a brand new item -- and received a used item that cost $10 more.
Good quality for the price September 5, 2008 K. Laih (University Park, PA USA) Originally I purchased these headphones just for their noise-canceling, but now I not only love them for that, I love how amazing my music sounds when playing through these. Sure they aren't as good as Bose, but they are a good value. I'm quite satisfied with these headphones. And they are very comfortable!
Awesome noice-cancelling headphones! September 3, 2008 PeterA (San Francisco, CA USA) Just tried these (my first NC headphones) on a cross-country flight, and they were fantastic. Very comfortable, even during long wears. Cuts out nearly all of the flight noise - listening to music and DVDs is great. Comes with nice hard-case and airplane adapters. With NC turned off, significant noise is still cut out. Bought at the time for $75 incl shipping - cannot be beat at this price, or even at $100 which seems to be the general street price!! Sound quality with NC on was great, however, with NC off I thought they sounded kinda bad. Very bassy or muffled even. Didn't bother me too much, since I have other headphones for non-NC situations. I'm not sure if this is just my pair, or how these headphones normally sound without NC. One of the best items I have bought recently!!!
noise reduction headphones August 28, 2008 Mary Terry (jackson. ms.) I have enjoyed my panasonic noise reduction headphones. I basically use them when traveling. I do hear some noise, however, I can get a better quality of music than on my old headphone. Mary, Jackson, MS.
