5 out of 5 stars Fantastic little gadget   September 30, 2008
T. Hurley (New York, NY USA)
I have an old laptop that doesn't read SDHC, but a new digital camera that can use SDHC - this inexpensive little gadget did the trick perfectly and is small enough to fit into the camera case that I have. Well worth the few bucks that I spent on it for sure & SDHC is so cheap my Canon SD1100 camera will fit over 10,000 pictures or over an hour of movie clips - all can be copied direct onto my laptop very quickly & conveniently via USB.

3 out of 5 stars Works, but case cracked   September 20, 2008
Duane Scaggs (Chicago, IL)
It works on three different PCs with no problems but the cap came cracked - it is actually too small to fit on adapter properly. The construction isn't sturdy so you have to be gentle with it.

5 out of 5 stars Great Plug & Play Reader   September 19, 2008
Mr. Niez (Marine City, MI USA)
One of the two readers I ordered failed to work properly. However, the seller was extremely interested in resolving my problem and quickly sent a replacement after I made email contact with them. Product performs exactly as I initially anticipated and is able to read SDHC cards quickly. Can't beat the price too!

5 out of 5 stars Works with microSDHC cards! (with SD adapter)   September 9, 2008

I got this product for my phone. The description doesn't say that this reader/writer can read/write SanDisc microSDHC cards, but it can as long as you have the adapter that should come with it. It read my 4 gig SanDisc mircoSDHC card. Because of this product, I can save money from buying a new specifically designed data cable for every new phone I get. This is great for transferring music and pictures to and from my phone.

I'm on Verizon's network. Not sure how your phone's operating system will work with SD/SDHC cards, but if you have a Verizon phone and need help transferring music to your phone with this product, what you'll need to do is, first, put your card in your phone (you may need to format the card), then your phone should automatically create folders. With newly created folders, put your microSDHC into your adapter, then into the card reader/writer, then into your computer. Sync the songs you want (I used Windows Media Player 10), then your card should have another folder called, "Music." Open two windows, one to view the folders on your SDHC card, and one to select the songs that you just synced to your SDHC card. Then move the selected songs from the "Music" folder to the "my_music" folder (the folder your phone created) and your phone should be able to add the songs to your library next time you select "Manage Music" or "My Music" from your "Get It Now" or "Media" menu. If you don't move the songs from the "Music" folder to the "my_music" folder, then you'll have songs on your phone that your phone won't access. My phone won't simply read mp3s or wma files by just transferring music by copying and paste. I have to sync the songs using WMP10 (it then reconverts the files before syncing). I hope that helps.

1 out of 5 stars hit or miss   September 3, 2008

Didn't work for me on several different os's. From the other reviews, seems like a hit or miss thing. Eh, you get what you pay for.
