worth the money September 5, 2008 D. Hart (Holtsville,NY) I bought this talking dictionary for my 8 yr old son. He loves it. Let's face it. You make anything in to a little gadget for kids to control and they are all for it. Educational and fun. He can use it in school with the sound off.
Great helper! August 31, 2008 TeachermomVA My 4th grader uses this to help with spelling/word meanings. Promotes independence. I don't hear "Mom, how do you spell.....etc...." as much! Great for prewriting/writing.
Good for special needs child that does not speak August 15, 2008 Sherri (houston, tx) I have a special needs child that does not speak. The wonderful thing is this device is small and easy to carry with you for him to put in simple words or sentences BUT it does not always recognize alot of words. The plus is you can at least see what he has typed.
Franklin Kid 1240 August 10, 2008 J. Doane I am a reading teacher, and this is a valuable tool for those that struggle with mwmorization of spelling patterns.
a good product, but not super durable July 27, 2008 Catherine R. Ostrowski (Geneva, IL) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It really helped my son with spelling, but it broke easily in his backpack. I'd say be wary if you have a boy who shoves things in his backpack to get out of the school as soon as possible!
