The item was in excellent condition for a refurbished unit, The shipping fee was a bit high for the ten days it took to receive.

2 out of 5 stars Great phone, poor battery   February 5, 2008

Battery dies about 2 to 3 days after charging, whether you use it or not. Had high hopes for this phone because its rare to be able to get a stylish cordless phone without an answering machine and other options that you will never use. Vtech sent me out another one, but that one has had poor battery life as well.

Bought these phones right before Christmas. As others have complained about the handsets would not hold a charge for more then a few hours. Called Vtech customer support and within 3 days a new system appeared at my door step with a return label for the defective unit I had. Boxed them up called UPS and next day they were off back to Vtech. Seems the chargeing units were faulty. Immediately began a test to see if the claims of 10 hrs of use and 100 hours of standby would hold up, and they now do live up to the promise. My suggestion to people is to give a company firsty the oppurtunity to right a wrong before degrading the product. the slimness of the phone, the lighted dial and features of this phone system are very friendly. I stared out going after a different brand but now am very happy I chose this phone.

3 out of 5 stars Good phone, bad battery   October 10, 2007

The sound quality is great, the battery is very bad. The manual says it has 10 hours talk time and 100 hours standby. More like 10 minutes talk time and less than a day standby.

The phone takes 16 hours to recharge! What am I suppose to use during the 16 hours my phone is charging after I talk for only 10 minutes?

I had the phone for two weeks and had to take it back. Too bad because I loved the look of the phone and how it sounds but I just can't take the charging time and bad battery. I was tempted to replace the phone thinking it was a defect but it was both handsets that did it.

Now I'm on the hunt for something else....I hear Panasonic is good but I obviously need to read more reviews before I buy anything.

5 out of 5 stars These phones work through block walls -- they are GREAT!   October 5, 2007

I have an exterior and interior block house. These are the first phones I've been able to use while walking around. Even the second handset, which doesn't connect to a phonejack, works without any static. I am extremely pleased with this purchase!!!
