  • Silver increases the specular highlights and yields a high-contrast image. Its perfect for video, product shots and B&W photography.
  • Gold produces a natural, golden fill that is great for sunsets or indoor portraits.
  • White produces an even, neutral-colored bounce light that works beautifully as a fill light source for both product shots and indoor/outdoor portraits.
  • Black is used as a flag to block light or can be used to subtract light
  • Translucent fabric is used to diffuse light, producing a broad light source and a soft, wraparound effect that's perfect for outdoor portraits or whenever a softer light is needed.

3 out of 5 stars Great Reflector. Bad Case.   September 21, 2008
dsacorn
The quality of the reflector is great, but the case for it is absolutely terrible. I am very careful with all of my gear, but the first day I used my reflector, it started to shred and fall apart.

5 out of 5 stars Worked Well   September 2, 2008

I'm a beginner and this worked very well. We ended up using the diffusion as well as the silver.

5 out of 5 stars Good buy.   August 30, 2008
Charles A. Schmidt (Andover, MN United States)
The 5 in 1 is a good buy. The item arrived quickly and in good shape. The only trick is to learn how to collapse the reflectors into its carrying case. Worth the money if you are serious about getting a great shot.

2 out of 5 stars Zipper gets stuck.   August 17, 2008
Chris Ellis (Columbus, MS)
This product has a reversible liner that acts as a slipcover that slides over a diffuser panel. If you aren't really, really careful when changing the cover (turning it inside out and re-covering the diffuser), the zipper gets stuck. While still functional, it looks sloppy and unprofessional. My solution is to have the color reflector I need already on there BEFORE you arrive at the photo shoot. #1 to avoid an unprofessional appearance and #2 to save time - if the zipper gets stuck it takes some time to guide the zipper back and forth properly to fix the problem.

5 out of 5 stars Great deal for 5 different functions at $40   August 12, 2008
Kendall L. Vaughan (Mukilteo, WA USA)
That comes out to about $7 or $8 dollars per reflector and it's at a large size at that.
