good product,except the clear button and the speak button are on the same side, and can cause you to clear your total count by accident. Wish it was on opposite side to prevent that from happening.

Save your money. I got this for Christmas thru Sharper Image Store and they charge $20 for it; first mistake. I've walked the same route 3 days in a row now and have gotten readings of 6225, 6350, and the last day 4720. It is not counting accurately. I did a test and counted out 100 steps with the device mounted to my belt. The reading was 35 steps. I would return it if i had a receipt but it was a gift. I am now here on amazon looking for a new one. DONT BUY IT!!

I have been using this item for 3 years now. When I originally purchased
it I immediately bought another for back up. First one recently went through
the rinse cycle. The only reason it failed. Just started using the other
and have been searching on-line sites to keep one ahead.
Never experienced a problem. Love the alarm, awaken on the first, "It is 5:00 am." I am thrilled to have found this item again. Thanks amazon.com.

This is a good item that works well. It is a bit sensitive to having the buttons touched, and occasionally when walking it will announce my steps and distance as it was brushed up against. I do recommend it and will be ordering more for my family.

I purchased this item not at Amazon but from ediets. I should have done research before I bought it. The purchase price was 40% more than the current price for a peice of junk. I did the intial set up and felt all was well. When I tried to test it, I walked 8 steps and the pedometer counted 14. I tested it again thinking there was a glitch, it counted even more steps this time. I put it aside thinking I would work on it later. When I went back to use it, the think had died. DO NOT buy this product. It is just a simple mess.
