Fast Floors, the merchant that advertises the apparent lowest price on this and other rugs (and which boasts a 62% customer satisfaction rating as of 09.29.2008), lists a shipping price of $134.95, more than four times the price of the item itself, on the purchase pane. This is in contrast to other merchants, including Amazon itself, which offer free shipping or shipping at a nominal charge for identical or similar products. This is a dishonest and unprofessional practice that has the effect of luring in customers by posting the lowest apparent price in order to take advantage of search filtering based on ascending price, only to add on nearly double the item's value in most cases as a "shipping charge". Amazon should shut such merchants down or at least police them in order to protect its customers.
