I am an trauma neurosurgical ICU nurse and I love this stethoscope. The heart sounds are very crisp and clear. I find that, because of my specialty, listening to heart sounds is very important. We do not see cardilogists all that much and our assessment is very critical. I have been able to hear more with this brand than Litman. When asked by newer nurses what they should buy, I unhesitantly recommend this stethocscope. I don't think you would be dissapointed.

This stethoscope is a replacement for my previous stethoscope (Littman Cardiology III). I am extremely impressed with the quality of this stethoscope and the value I received. Heart sounds are loud and clear, noticeably louder than they were with my Littman. There are still times when I have patients with extremely poor air exchange or circulation, where I still have difficulty hearing their lung sounds or auscultating their blood pressure, respectively. Maybe an electronic stethoscope would overcome this.

I searched the internet for just the right stethoscope and did my homework about which stethoscope would best suit my needs at the present time and the Adscope cardiology was just right. I did not want a Littman because I felt I was paying a high price for the name and not necessarily for a high-quality stethoscope. I am an NP student and I have an old prestige medical stethoscope that was fine for nursing, but in advanced practice I needed something with higher quality that would assure that the subtle heart sounds would not be missed, and the Adscope has done great so far. It is very light weight compared to my old dual head stethoscope, which is great.
