Update -- peace of mind and body! November 7, 2007 Sarah-Therese (San Diego, CA USA) UPDATE: FIVE STARS+. Works! Works! Works! This crystal method has not let me down yet. I love that it has no scent, no stickiness, no worries about "is this stuff slowly destroying my nervous system?", etc. Why would anyone buy regular deodorants with which to go gradually bonkers? PREVIOUS REVIEW: I just recently purchased this and have only been using it a few days. So far, it's actually working. I was using a JASON's natural deodorant product when I noticed that it was no longer working. I felt embarrassed for myself, and at a loss because I stopped trusting "natural deodorants" and was thinking they must all be ineffective. Yet, aluminum poisoning scares me, so I felt at a real "Catch 22". Well, this crystal stick DOES keep me dry and without body odor. It does take some getting use to though. Wetting the top and then rolling across the arm pits. I usually put too much water on it and it drips down, but I consider that just me getting use to the product and adjusting accordingly. Also, there is NO fragrance, so nothing to interfere with my perfume. I never could figure out why such tacky fragrance was added to deodorants. Thank goodness, this one has none.
the best deodorant I have ever used January 9, 2007 D. Wood 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have tried many deodorant sticks with out alum, but the Crystal body stick is by far is the best!!
It really works! December 6, 2006 B. Hinschberger (Puyallup, WA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My husband and I quit using antiperspirants years ago because we didn't want to be applying aluminum to our underarms. I ran across Crystal Stick Body Deodorant at Costco quite a few years ago (must be at least ten I think) and purchased a package of two. I have been using the first of the two sticks for all this time. It works great! Just this morning I threw away the first stick and pulled the second stick out of my storage drawer to begin using it. One stick has lasted for all these years. And it really works. What a great product!
Great product October 19, 2004 Sterling Fulton-Smith (Cary, NC) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I didn't believe that a crystal rock would prevent body odor. But it did. This really works. It isn't an antiperspirant, but it does eliminate unwanted smells. I have tried other products and didn't get the same results. I use it in the morning and I have protection all day. This product is good for the environment and works.
Best deordorant I've ever used January 30, 2004 Travis M. Owens (Rochester, NY USA) 11 out of 13 found this review helpful
A little secret nobody wants you to know, or they are just too ignorant to be aware of is that alumnium is a heavy metal that causes permenant nerve damage (think about that next time you get a can of soda). The way commercial deodorants prevent perspiring is with an alternate form of alumnium. There has been a large amount of research proving how a lifetime of alumnium intake via deodorant and soda cans leads to alheimerz disease, as well as memory loss and lack of motor function. I've tried many natural deodorants and some have worked ok but none of them every worked better than commercial ones until I tried the one that sounded so silly, I had refused to try it.What I'm talking about is what many people call the "thai stone" or "crystal" or "mineral". As a consumer I've come to believe you need a goop of substance in yoru arm pit to prevent body ordor but as I learned more about I realized it's not your sweat that smells but oils being broken down by bacteria that smell. So the obvious solution here is to prevent the bacteria, not cover up or block the odor. I tried the stone and the very first day it worked better than any deordorant in my life, even after physical activities. What is more surprising is after you wet the stone and rub it on, you'll swear nothing actually is on your armpit but my daily activities have proven what little is being transferred to your body, works like butter on toast.
