Nature's gotta have a better solution July 29, 2008 Spicer First off, I love Toms of Maine, I've used their toothpaste for over a decade now and I will not switch. I hate artificial sweetners.. wait, I hate ANY sweeteners in my toothpaste and the aftertaste of Tom's of Maine is refreshing and clean tasting. This deodorant just doesn't seem to cut the odor for very long. I've tried the lemongrass as well as the unscented, but, same problem with both, they just don't cut odor good enough on me. On a very plus note, the lemongrass is very pleasant and I love the scent, very clean smelling. I would probaly use this stuff during cooler months, but, no chance I'll entrust it to my stinky pits during the summer months. I'm trying the JASON line and so far they seem to be holding up a bit better... wait, let me do a spot check **sniff sniff** FWEW.. well, slightly better I guess.
Rash and peeling July 2, 2008 Kevin Bollaert (Stockton, CA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been using this deodorant for about a week and developed a terrible rash and burning sensation under my arms. My skin is now bright red and peeling. This is a known issue with the long lasting line of deodorants.
Wonderful lemongrass scent--works better than expected! June 2, 2008 Philosophy Nut (St. Charles, MO USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
In trying to convert to healthy living, I decided to try this product to get away from aluminum-containing deodorants (and I've liked Tom's toothpaste...fennel without fluoride). Please note that this is a DEODORANT stick...not an ANTI-PERSPIRANT. As the previous reviewer noted, since this stick is a cross between a gel and a solid, it does glide on with a wetter feeling like a gel does; but, I've had no problems with that. I live in the St. Louis metro area where our summers are typically in the 90s with high humidity, and this product does a VERY good job of controlling any odor. I will definitely purchase this product again and absolutely LOVE the fresh lemongrass scent. I just smell clean.
Great product, and good for you. March 18, 2008 Lynn Hardy (Virginia) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
A little strong scented for my taste, I liked the odorless more. But the citrus odor is pleasing to the nose. Also for those of you who haven't use a natural deodorant: It feels wet for a while, but it does work once it dries. Here are a few facts about deodorants: Your pits have more pores, hence the sweating. Where you have pore, you also absorb into your body. Most deodorant products have aluminum or other harmful ingredients. Tom's has aloe and E which are good for you.
so far so good October 13, 2007 psgoodguy (palm springs, ca) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
i've been using this product for a week now. temps are in the mid-upper 80's and it's keeping me dry and odor free. it has a very faint lemony scent to it. one of the reasons i bought this product is because my sinus' are sensitive to artificial scents. using this eliminates just one more thing in my world to aggravate my sinus'.
