Create a soothing underwater environment for baby's crib with this ocean-themed remote-control mobile! A dancing light pattern of bubbles, fish and swirls projects from the mobile onto the ceiling, and the light softly glows - ideal for calming baby in her crib at night. 4 out of 5 stars Pretty good   September 3, 2008
J. Eshelman (Quincy, MA)
My son wasn't very into this mobile until he was big enough to pull off all the fish. At that point we took it out of his crib because he could also pull down the whole mobile. However, my one month old daughter seems to love watching the fish, and the music puts her right to sleep. My husband and I find the music relaxing as well. It's plastic and therefore not as cute as some mobiles out there. It also seems to overwhelm the crib a bit, but we have a pretty basic crib from Ikea. We rewired it to plug into the wall, so I can't comment on battery life. Overall, it functions well, so I am pleased.

1 out of 5 stars Designed for babies... by babies   July 27, 2008

We bought this mobile due to some of the same misconceptions expressed by other reviewers. Namely, we assumed that the little fish in the bubble would either light up or activate the mobile. It does neither and is utterly useless. By far the biggest gripe is the mounting bracket. It's seemed to be designed to only work on a prison-issue steel bar crib. Our crib is wood and the top rail is very modest in thickness (2.25"), but this mobile refuses to fit it and we had to resort to using bungee cords. A simple $15 mobile has the ability to adjust to fit different rail thicknesses. How can this mobile pass safety standards?! It's a huge project whenever we need to change the batteries. And who in their right mind designs a mobile where you have to take the whole thing down to replace batteries?!! It would make (slight) sense if the batteries can last the mobile for a month or more. But ours last maybe a week, tops. I really wanted to return it but my wife likes the "light show" feature. I have to admit that's pretty neat but a real battery hog. Another problem is the lack of a user-controlled timer or a "constant on" switch. Our child takes a while to fall asleep and we find ourselves constantly having to re-activate the mobile using the remote (when it worked). Which brings us to yet another complaint: the remote doesn't always work, even if you point it straight at the "sensor dome" one foot away. Sometimes it's easier to just reach over and hit the actual button. An interesting side note is that the remote for our compact stereo actually works on this mobile better than its own remote. I doubt we'll keep this mobile past the point where it will be used on a dresser top. But even if we do, I doubt it would work well anyway. The arm of the mobile is simply too short to make it work. It would not reach into the crib far enough to be useful. I had tried this configuration when we found that it won't attach to the crib rail. The spinning fishes don't venture far enough into the crib's airspace to make them useful. Once again, the light show would be its only saving grace. There are far better mobiles out there for the price. I just wish we'd found them before this one. Shame on Fisher-Price on such a crappy product. It's got great ideas but the execution is juvenile at best.

3 out of 5 stars mobile   July 18, 2008

This mobile is pretty cool. I thought it would go longer but my daughter seems to like it enough. It does move a little slower than her old mobile, so she seems to lose interest in it a lot sooner.

3 out of 5 stars OK   June 21, 2008

This mobile doesn't fit on bigger cribs and it goes dead fast. EVERY remote turns this thing on and off! It is so aggravating to be watching tv and change the channel and the thing turns on and off. Make sure to have it in a room where you won't be watching tv. It is cute though and my son loves it.

1 out of 5 stars Doesn't Fit   June 5, 2008

Fisher-Price Ocean Wonders Mobile with Remote Control

The handle does not adjust on the crib attachment. Our crib rail is not that wide but ssurprisingly it doesn't fit on our crib. We were so dissapointed. I can't belive fisher-price didn't have an adjustable crib mount.
