Well this product does hold your pod in place.
The issues that are bother is the protective front cover, it makes it a mission to navigate through your ipod unless if you use all the strength of men to press down the keys.
And this armband for sure is not at all water resistant. it is possible for sweat to mess up your ipod. so you have to be a bit extra careful here.

I recently purchased this product with my new iPod nano. Despite the high price tag, I went ahead and got it because it's one of the only armbands out there for the new fourth generation of iPods. The armband itself has bulky clips and fasteners that rub against your body when jogging. The plastic that protects the iPod track wheel is too thick, prohibiting you from easily scrolling up and down. I do NOT recommend this product. Buyer beware!
Not water resistant - cover too thick December 18, 2008

I got this and it works to keep my ipod in place, but it does get too wet, and it's all but impossible to change any settings on my ipod when it's in the case. It holds the ipod on my arm well, but the Belkin engineers need to take another look at this one. I wouldn't recommend this at this time, except for maybe non-sweaty, long-playing-never-change-volume-playlist-or-anything recreational use.

Extremely excited when i received my Belkin Armband could not wait to use! It was light weight easy to put on and take off HOWEVER you could not operate the control to the Nano the clear plastic around the Nano control dial is to thick and it was returned.
Would purchase again if product was corrected
