Small, but still a bit too big November 29, 2002 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
The case is sturdily built with two zippered closures and an adjustable shoulder strap. The exterior bottom panel is a nobby ruggedized material that probably is waterproof. The remainder of the case exterior is pebble grained leather-looking material. The main compartment for the camera is easily accessed via the zippered front flap and is padded on left, right, back, and bottom. Top and front padding is thinner. The inside of the main comaprtment flap has a zippered pocket suitable for holding a memory card. Inside dimensions (inches): 6H x 3.25W x 2.5D The main compartment zippered opening is 3 inches wide. The smaller zippered compartment is on the back of the case. It contains loops for 4 AA batteries, a zippered pocket suitable for a memory card or slim remote control, and a second unzippered pocket that is a little smaller than business card size. I got this case to house an Olympus D-40 zoom digital camera. The main compartment is far too big for this camera. By itself, the camera would rattle around inside the case. I've filled the extra space by putting a carry case for 4 AA batteries into the bottom of the main compartment and adding a pair of light socks to fill in the remaining space. This leaves the smaller compartment free for the remote control and a small notebook. I'm keeping the case. It provides more than adequate protection for the camera (with socks installed!) and will work fine for day trips and similar short outings.
Bag not as pictured September 3, 2002 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Bag I received has a zipper front entry, and a zipper pocket in back for batteries, card, etc. The zipper front/top is stiff and awkward to open. The entrance is narrow, and since the case is rigid, it is hard to get manual in case, and manual must be curved once it is in. The mesh compartments and battery loops are a nice touch, and quality seems very good.
It's good for the price! August 9, 2002 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
Nice compact bag to hold all the necessities while traveling.

I went to a department store to find a camera bag, unfortunately they didn't stock Targus. But I did come across the Case Logic DC50 case. I like it. Layout and size: It has a great accessory pouch (with mesh pockets, not sure how durable they are). A zip pocket big enough for 2 canon batteries and memory card, + another pocket for memory, and room for AA batteries (if applicable). There is padding everywhere as far as I could feel, although it is quite thin (all cases I saw had as thinner or thinner padding). The inner (camera) pocket is approximately 15cm (6in?) high, 8cm (a bit more than 3in) wide and 4.5cm (less than 2 in) deep [these are rough measurements with a ruler]. For Canon S30: * It is a little large for the Canon S30 as you can tell from my rough measurements. However, with the all weather case it might be about right (don't know yet). * To give you a rough idea ... if the camera is still in bubble wrap then it is almost the right size (except for height). If you find a better case for the S30, then let me know :-) Otherwise I will happily use the DC50 case :-) If the height is too big you could always put some extra padding down the bottom of the bag. For example just cut some bubble wrap to size and put it at the bottom of the comparment.
Good product February 21, 2002 Eduardo Solis Valle (Lima, Peru) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a good case, I have a HP 318 digital camera and it fix well, it's a little big, but it let me carry batts, cradles and memory cards in. And it's good for protect my camera too. It looks very good and has a gadget to carry in my belt.
