Product Description This mounting bracket for eMap has all the qualities you're looking for: lightweight, portable, adjustable. Bracket is jointed, allowing you to position eMap out of the sun's glare. Comes with temporary and permanent adhesive disks that adhere the mount base to the dash.

Excellent when permanently mounted January 5, 2003 John Ellsworth (Northport, NY) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I have one of these in each of two family cars to mount my eMap. The kit comes with a mount, a removable articulating bracket, and two types of adhesive disks--one for temporary mounting and another for permanent. The permanent adhesives are immovable. In cold or warm weather they stay put. I bought one of these brackets for use on a rental car and used the temporary adhesive. As another reviewer commented, the mount did not stay put (I used it in a warm climate). After the experience, I bought a Garmin bean bag mount for temporary use.As far as the plastic mount goes, it is excellent when used in the permanent mode. Just make sure you mount it in its most advantageous spot. You won't be able to reposition it. I like the articulating bracket. It locks in any position. In both my cars I have the bracket mounted in the middle of the dash. This way a driving companion can face the eMap toward them, at their eyelevel and help navigate--change functions, enter find mode, etc. Keep in mind the mount and the bracket can be purchased independently. This way, all you need is a mount in each car (assuming you have more than one) and you can swap the bracket as you do the eMap.
Well-Built but doesn't stay put June 6, 2001 10 out of 11 found this review helpful
The unit is very well built but it it falls off the windshield every 30 minutes or so. No matter what I did to try to get it to stay, it eventually would work its way off.
