4 out of 5 stars I'm confused!! I like this phone!   July 15, 2007
S. MENEELY
I think Siemens are complicated phones, so it's not for low-tech people. However, I'm was very happy with my 4015g 2.4 Siemens when I had home phone service, and my parents have a different model they like as well. My only qualm is the limited ringers on this phone, and the fact that it sounds like a cell phone when it does ring. I never dropped my calls or had interference and used AT&T phone service in Denver, CO. I'll definitely buy a Siemens phone next time I need to buy a home phone.

If you are on the phone more than 20 minutes at some point the phone will start beeping and you will be disconnected for no reason. I own 3 handsets and it does this with all of them. Also, sometimes when answering the phone the connection is made so poorly that you cannot hear the person on the line. JUNK.

Had this phone for about 2 years now and it has been nothing but trouble. I had to reboot it at least 4 times and then, finally, it just died. Avoid.

We have used this phone as our main phone for several years now, and we really like it. The sound quality is clear, and it works great throughout the house (and even partway into the garage). We purchased units from other brands to use in the two bedrooms without phone jacks, and they have TERRIBLE quality - we've already given away the first brand we bought and are getting ready to replace the VTech handsets. But this Siemens phone has continued to work great with no interference, even right next to my computer.

The phone can be a little difficult to program. We always have problems resetting the clock during time changes, and figuring out how to change the outgoing message.

We have had the phone for over 3 years now (I can't remember exactly how long it has been), and the battery is just now starting to give out. We are considering just buying a new battery, and replacing the other handsets with Siemens models because we have been so happy with this one. The only reason we are thinking of replacing this phone is because of the lack of features. I work from home, and my dogs love to time their barking, baying, and playtime to when they know I'm on a conference call, so I really need a phone with the mute feature.

I give this phone 5 stars for performance, and 3 stars for features and ease of use.

1 out of 5 stars DON'T BUY THIS PHONE!   October 3, 2004

I had purchased this phone 1 1/2 year ago and then all of the sudden one day, they didn't work. We could get no dial tone. I called the customer service number which instructed me to do a few things ( take batteries out, unplug the main unit, etc) and nothing worked. She then concluded that the base was broken and because it was greater than one year I'd have to purchase another one for $120! I spent over $300 because We had 4 phones total and it stops working after a year!

I recently bought the V-tech phone and love it so far! The quality is much better and has nicer features. I like how the name of the person calling and the number appear at the same time unlike the Siemens phone.

Siemens customer serivce was not helpful and their products are not worth the money you spend for them.
