Product Description SkipDR makes repairing damaged discs easier than ever. When your CD, DVD, or game skips, it's disruptive. The problem is, once a disc surface is scratched, it will prevent the disc player's laser from reading the signal, which causes that irritating skipping. But the SkipDR has been saving discs for a decade now. The FlexiWheel microfrictional surface technology allows for gentle resurfacing of your disc and will restore it to its original playing quality.

What Happened August 21, 2008 Ron (Jersey) I purchased this item based on the reviews. Being a little lazy, I wanted to save some time in fixing any scratches that came up on my cds and dvds. I read the instructions, spray my scratched dvd with the solution and put it in the machine. Not only did the scratches not come out, the disc was scoured and unplayable in any of my dvd players--sorry Netflix. Maybe I got a bad one, but this is being returned.
Great product but read directions August 17, 2008 B. Barrios The item was exactly as described in new condition including the power adapter the actual machine works perfectly, however be careful to follow the instructions when cleaning. I had bought the automatic cleaner for my girlfriend because a few of her dvds skipped and she insisted on doing the first run but she over sprayed the disc and then dried it using the blue cloth instead of the buffing square as recommended. Because of that the dvd refused to read in any player and was saying it's coded for another region and she was going to make me buy another dvd and return the cleaner until i read the instructions did it correctly and it worked perfectly. So it's a great product but you should follow the directions before returning or worrying your dvd is destroyed.
Great product, COMES WITH A POWER CORD July 17, 2008 J. Mitchell (New York, NY United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I ordered one of these because my copy of NHL 08 for Xbox 360 was so scratched it wouldn't play (really nasty circular scratches all around the disc). Within 3 minutes, this thing made it good as new - the manual portions of the process are easy, and the machine works fast. The machine is smartly designed, too - it holds the spray fluid, cleaning cloth, and buffer in built-in compartments. After being cleaned/resurfaced, the disc does have a radial pattern on it, but my system reads it like a charm. The machine says that the same disc can be cleaned multiple times, so I guess it doesn't wear off all of the coating. Also, the unit I ordered came with the AC Adapter in the box (with a sticker advertising as such), so I think it's now included. I think it's more convenient with batteries, but the power brick works well too. For the cost of one replacement game disc, I now have confidence that all of my games and movies are safe. That's something!
Does what it claims, but doesn't always work June 16, 2008 Robert L. Stanis (Indianapolis, IN USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This product does what it claims to do, but if a scratch is running sideways, and is deep enough, it won't help. I wish they had a wheel with a coarser grit to take off more plastic, then a finer grit to polish.
It Works! June 4, 2008 Motogeezer (Winter Park, FL USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After reading the reviews pro and con, I figured I'd take a chance and give the Skip DR a shot. It has worked fine on everything I've run through it, and I've got a collection of cd's from when they first came out. Obvously it's not going to work wonders on damaged discs, but for most it does the job just fine :)
