This is a great add on for your PSP. I have somewhat large hands, and this helps my PSP fit me a lot better. I am finding that I'm enjoying older games again because they play easier now that I'm not struggling to hang on to my PSP. I recommend this to anyone who has a PSP. Plus the company that is selling them ships VERY fast! I couldn't be happier.

Usually I would avoid third party products like these, but I was desperate. After a couple hours of playing my PSP my hands would be cramped and in extreme pain. I've never had problems with handhelds before, but the way the PSP is shaped is absolutely terrible. Now I can play my PSP for as long as I want, I'm so greatful these things exist!

The PSP is really mis-named; it ought to have been called the "Station Portable," because its design makes it almost IMPOSSIBLE to, well, play. It's the least-ergonomic video game controller ever designed, and extended sessions will leave you with pains and cramps and carpal-tunnel. So what does this Gamer ActionGrip thing do? It puts the "Play" back in. With them, you can hold the PSP comfortably for longer than an hour. It feels like an actual controller!
The downside is that these grips are bulky and awkward to store. You can tuck the PSP away with ease, but the GamerGrip, with its handles and mounting brackets, are not so pocket-friendly. You also run the risk of snapping off the mounting brackets, without which the peripheral is useless. Even worse, these brackets are somewhat flimsy: if you drop the complete ensemble, the impact momentum of the PSP is enough to overwhelm them, and no amount of home repair will restore them. (Trust me, I tried.) The good news is, with a large-enough pocket you can slide the whole ensemble in without much trouble; if you have access to a pocket that can store a DualShock or SIXAXIS controller, you're probably good to go.
So, be careful with these. But regardless, I recommend them highly. They only do one thing, but that thing is utterly important: they make the PSP playable. Hopefully, Sony has learned a lesson from them and will make the PSP2 a little more ergonomic. (The REALLY sad thing is that if the face buttons were just half an inch north, we wouldn't need these handles at all.)

I gave this item 5 stars cause it does what i want it to do it holds the psp plain and simple. If ya looking for something that will make ya psp more comfortable without any gimics stuck on it this item is the way to go. Now hurry up and buy it already anything else would just be a waste of money in this category of accessories.

This is the best add-on I've purchased for my PSP - hands down - without a doubt. It makes the psp comfortable.
Yes - this makes the PSP "less portable." Who cares. Don't buy this if you plan to lug your PSP all over the place with this attached. This grip is great for those who like to play the PSP at home, or (like me) a backpack they lug everywhere with the space to keep this with them.
I would recommend this for anyone with large hands, or who finds they get cramped hands after playing their psp for any extended length of time. It makes your psp feel just like a traditional PS controller. It's solid and well built for what it does. It felt kind of flimsy when I opened it up the first time, but I didn't realize that it locks into place when you extend the handles all the way out. Once the psp is cradled it feels very sturdy.
All in all - a great addition to the psp for those who want more comfort and aren't worried about portability.
