The unit is described and the photo shows this is NOT a Toshiba (OEM) product. Do not order this if you want the look and feel of the one that came with your laptop. The unit does work, but runs very hot. There is a built in fan that turns on and off to help cool it...seems like it shouldn't turn off as much as it does. I give it 4 stars because it is a compatible product, value priced, and properly described. If you feel you are going to keep your laptop for a long time, you might consider the OEM version.

I ordered an adapter for my Toshiba Satellite A45 Series notebook computer. It arrived 5 days later on standard shipping, I plugged it in and it did not work. From there, I had to request an RMA from 3BTech, that took another day, and then I had to pay to send it back to them so they could test it and determine whether or not they thought it worked. When they tested it and it was obvious that it was defective, I was refunded the "full" amount of $35. In the end, I payed $8 for shipping and handling and then it cost me another $5 to send it back to them. I WASTED ALMOST TWO WEEKS AND $13 JUST SO THEY COULD SHIP ME A DEFECTIVE PRODUCT AND MAKE ME PAY FOR THE SHIPPING (BOTH WAYS). After this bad experience with 3B Tech, I sent their customer service an email explaining the sour taste left in my mouth after doing business with them--THEY HAVE NOT RESPONDED TO ME IN ANY FORM--as a result, I DO NOT RECCOMEND using their services for making any purchases. In my experience, it has only been a waste of precious time and money.
