I have had this shaver for 10+ years, leave it plugged in and use it every 3 days to trim my beard. I am looking now, as mine finally burned out and I wish a replacement. I would say a rechargeable item that lasts this long is impressive. The price is cheap. I do agree with the previous reviewer that the trimmer could use a even shorter setting -it has 6. I use the closest trim level, it is quite adequate and gives the look of a close-cropped beard, about an 1/8" depth.
So, unless you want the look of about a 7 day beard, I would recommend this unit.

liked the idea of charger built in no cord but did not like the guard adjustment would not adjust short enough only to about a quarter on a inch
