This purchase has been a super deal for me. I can listen to satellite radio in the house, in the car, on my bike, in the garden...anywhere that get's satellite reception. Occasionally I drive a different car that doesn't have the docking station, but because it transmits to the radio, it doesn't have to be hardwired in to the radio to work. I am only limited by battery life and so far I haven't had trouble with that (tested a couple hours at most}. I even listened to it at my parent house in an upstair bedroom, without an antenna, with great reception.
When I dock it in my house, I can pick up the signal on other radio's throughout the house too.
My husband bought Sirius radio for himself and he had a lot of trouble getting the antenna to pick up a signal. He ended up buying an adaptor to improve the antenna to his satellite. He was blown away that I just plugged mine in and it worked without a hitch.
My only complaint, and it's probably not because of this radio, is that it's hard to find a clear radio channel to tune the satellite to. This is especially troublesome in town. In rural or remote area, the sound is crystal clear. Otherwise, just a bit of static. I'm still very happy with it.
