After around 2 years of use, my case finally began to break. For about $27, lasting 2 years isn't too bad. The case itself is very beautiful and nice, and it's clear enough to see the iPod screen. Although bits of dirt can get into the case from time to time, the case does a fantastic job of keeping your iPod looking clean. Also, the case is great at protecting the iPod. I dropped my iPod 3 times on the ground (twice on concrete and once on asphalt). My iPod still works as it did the day I bought it. I've ordered another case for my iPod, and I'm sure it'll last 2 years or more and do a phenomenal job of keeping my iPod safe. :)

I have 7 good resons that made this my ultimate choice:
1. protects your iPod
2. if it falls on the floor, case won't open (it has 2 latches that really work);
3. you have the option to attach the clip or not, but if you don't, you don't have to hang around with some pin stuck in the middle of the back part of the case...
4. the rubber framing won't let your iPod slide and fall on the floor when on slippery surfaces, like when you're in bed;
5. I can plug earphones, charger and the computer cable for updates without having to take my iPod out of the case;
6. It's pretty easy to take your iPod out of the case if you also use it on docking stations, like I do, not as tough as the silicone cases (it has hinges on the left side, opens up like a book);
7. It doesn't make your iPod bulkier like some cases that are meant to fit the 30GB and the 60GB altogether.
It's that simple!

This case fits your iPod like a glove and provides an impressive armor that will take being dropped and banged around in stride. It is not invincible to scratches, but would you rather have it or your iPod scratched. For the price it is well worth it.
As further testimony, about six months ago I was involved in a highway speed vehicle roll-over accident with this unit playing in my vehicle. After I got out of the vehicle, a bystander found it on the ground and brought it to me thinking it was my cell phone. To my complete amazement, the iPod was securely locked inside, and the iPod was still playing my music that I had been listening to. The case had obvious scratches on the outside, but the iPod was still in perfect condition on the inside. Try that with the competing cases.

Ive had this case for almost a year and I think its the best one out there. Im a satisfied customer thats why Im writing a stellar review. Ok the case is very thin. So thin that it seems like the ipod is barely any bigger. Basically this is a clear shell around your ipod. Will it protect against a 2 story fall? No, but if you drop your ipod 2 stories, you might be an idiot. Will it protectable in 30 ft water? No, so don't listen to music when you swim. It will protect against all scratches normal bangs and beat downs. I think if you want a fashion case, not for you, if you want a thin extra layer of armor, its perfect.
