Product Description Not only does the HEM-780 Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor utilize Omron's patented IntelliSense technology, but it also features the innovative Comfit Cuff. The ComFit Cuff is pre-formed for a quick and proper fit that is perfect for both medium and large-sized arms (nine to 17 inches). It's easy to apply the cuff to your arm without any assistance -- simply wrap the cuff around your arm and press start. In seconds your blood pressure and pulse are displayed on the large digital panel. Proven time and time again, Omron's IntelliSense technology ensures accurate, clinically-proven, and comfortable readings. And with a 90-memory recall with date and time stamp, you can track your blood pressure and pulse progress as your work towards a healthier lifestyle What is IntelliSense? The IntelliSense monitor inflates the cuff to the ideal level with each use -- you never have to make any adjustments to select an inflation level. This is especially convenient for hypertensive users and for people with certain arrhythmia or heart disorders because their blood pressure is so likely to fluctuate. The biggest advantage of using the IntelliSense technology is a personalized inflation every time for maximum comfort.

Highly recommended March 3, 2007 D. R Schryer (Hampton, VA United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Like many people, having my blood pressure measured in a doctor's office usually results in an artificially high reading. After my most recent visit to my family physician he recommended that I buy a blood pressuse monitor and measure my blood pressure at home every day. At first I bought a monitor which measures blood pressure at the wrist, but I had difficulty getting consistent readings with it. A friend who is a retired physician recommended that I get an upper-arm-positioned monitor and specifically recommended Omron, so I bought this HEM 780 monitor. I'm very pleased that I did. The readings with this monitor are much more consistent than those obtained with the wrist monitor and, as I suspected would be the case, are significantly lower than values obtained in my doctor's office. The monitor is very easy to use and functions completely automatically once you turn it on and press the start button. After each measurement it digitally displays both the systolic (higher) value, diastolic (lower) value, and the pulse plus the date. Furthermore it saves these values sequentially for the 90 most recent measurements -- a real convenience for comparing values over time. The monitor operates with AA bateries (which I prefer for convenience) or, for economy, with an AC adaptor which is included. I highly recommend this product.
Easy & Accurate Way to Monitor Blood Pressure at Home December 27, 2006 Ronald Wange (Bethesda, MD United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The Omron HEM 711AC automatic blood pressure monitor is incredibly simple to use. Simply place the cuff around your upper arm, attach it to the monitor. Push on/off, wait a few seconds, and then push start. It inflates and deflates the cuff automatically, and then displays your systolic and diastolic BP and pulse rate. It will store multiple previous readings (up to 20 I believe) and runs on either AC (adaptor included) or AA batteries. It was also accurate within a couple of mm of Hg when compared to the sphygmomanometer in my doctor's office. I have had mine for a couple of months now, and have no complaints.
