I find this book cover essential for keeping my e book reader protected from damage. It is no problem in operating the e book. And is insurance for a lasting e book experience.
 Replacement Book Cover July 1, 2008
It woud appear that the cover of the kidle ( which I LOVE) just has it's quirks. The replacement that you sent was no different, and in fact I am looking for the original as it doesn't fall out as often as the new one.
If that were my only problem then I would consider myself lucky.
I am sorry that you had to take the time to send my a new one but I do appreciate the willingness and speed with which you replaced it. If I do find my original, I will be more than happy to send you back the replacement.
 Worse than useless! June 30, 2008
This cover is worse than no cover at all. The cover is supposed to protect your Kindle, but it only works while it is closed up and not in use. The first day I had my Kindle, three times it fell out of this cover, rolled off my lap, and landed on the floor UNPROTECTED! If Amazon ever invents a better Kindle cover than this, I hope they send one to all of us who got stuck with this piece of junk, and I hope they send it to us free of charge!

I took me less than 24 hours to order a M-Edge leather cover. This cover is definitely not leather. Look at the Amazon Technical Details "Black cover with gray interior". Trust me, if it was leather, amazon would be touting that fact.
Here is why I paid $59 for the other after market cover:
1. My $359 kindle deserves protection and a classy case.
2. Elastic closure is clumsy and poorly designed. Depresses the click wheel.
2. Slips out of the cover too easily for my comfort. I fiddled with the grey plastic clip thing and got it to work better, but at its best it is not secure. I also had the rubber cover detach from the kindle.
3. Needs a place to keep a pen.
4. Needs a place to keep a paper clip or straight pin to perform a reset when on the road.
5. Overall looks cheap.
The difference between the original cover and the aftermarket cover is unbelievable. Anyone who thinks the original cover is so great should take a look at the other options available. The original cover is better than nothing, but not by much.
