Extension handset, works well October 5, 2008 Mom (Bend, OR USA) I bought extensions for this product up to the maximum of 6. All work well, having that many extensions works with my internet phone connection well. It's easy to transfer information from phone to phone, and easy to use the intercom feature to find those missing phones. I like this phone system. Started with 3 to test it out because I have not gotten phones I like as a general rule. This set I like.
Panasonic KX-TGA101S September 27, 2008 Michael G. Pfaff Poor sound quality. I have 4 phones and except for the phone on the main base the others work sometimes, but most of the time say the phone is too far from base even when it is only 15 feet away. By listening to Consumer Reports Magazine I bought this phone, but now which I hadn't. Volume issues are also a problem.
Expansion September 23, 2008 Dunkirk (New York state) We purchased the original base and two phones several months ago knowing we would need more. It's ability to take eight phones is perfect for multiple bedrooms and basement. Only complaint is that if go too far from the base we no long have a signal and depending on the location in the house, the distance is not far at all.
would not buy again September 23, 2008 Linda (Long Island, NY United States) I got these phones about 3 years ago and was disappointed from the first day. I should have gotten something else right away, but did not. My biggest gripe is that if your voice gets a little loud, the ear piece seems to cut out and you think the phone has gone dead, thus in the beginning I was doing a lot of "are you still there?" Now I know it's just a bad feature of the phone. I also have, as another reviewer has mentioned, that out of nowhere, you get a beep beep beep and your call is gone. You haven't done anything different but it happens. ???? At other times it won't show a caller ID. It will say incoming call and that's it. Other times when the phone is ringing, I get one continuous ring for about 45 seconds straight. Very strange. All of the other features are standard like any other phone and are fine once you figure them out and get used to them. I would not buy these phones again and am currently looking for a new system, that's how I wound up here! Caio!
Great extra phone September 15, 2008 Basset Mom I purchased this phone as an extra to go with the original KX-TG 1033S phone set that came with 3 handsets. It is compatible with this phone system and gives me the extra handset I needed. The reception is excellent and holds it's charge well.
