I bought this to install in the MSI Microstar WindBook U100-286MY 10" Notebook - Black and Ubuntu recognizes the ram just fine.
Excellent for my Macbook December 22, 2008 W. Schaffel (Eastern Connecticut, USA) I purchased two 1GB SDRAMS to upgrade my 1.83ghz MacBook from 512m to 2 GB. Kingston is name brand and installation was a snap. Removed the old chips, plugged in the Kingston chips and closed up the MacBook. The MacBook came up right away and recognized the new chips. No problems and less instances of the beachball while waiting for something to load.
