Great Lil' Gadget October 3, 2008 'Stanger (Los Angeles, CA) I'm always carrying my laptop and my digital camera around, but I would always have to wait until I got home to upload my pictures to my desktop. My desktop is set up with one of those wired multi-purpose card readers. So, I decided to go ahead and buy one of these little guys. Because of it's size, I could easily just throw it in my backpack and not worry about tangled cables or anything. And now, all I have to do to upload my pictures on my MacBook, is take out the SD card on my Nikon, and plug this card reader in.
Great Product September 30, 2008 K. Finch (Cincinnati, Ohio) I can't believe how useful this tool is. I bought one for use at work and immediately started using it. I've had it for about 2 weeks and can't believe how many different times I've used it. Now, I want one at home.
Works great September 30, 2008 John Doe (Atlanta, GA) I use this to transfer HD video from my 16GB SD card. I just leave it plugged into my usb port and plug the card in when needed. Works great.
Sandisk with cap September 30, 2008 Roger Gifford (East Millinocket Maine) Sandisk Mobile Mate is an excellent buy for the money. Just put your memory card in it, and bring it up on my computer and your ready to go.
Good if/while it works, bad when it breaks... September 26, 2008 Ryan (Los Angels, CA USA) It's a nice form factor, and worked fine /when/ it worked. One day pulled it back out of the drawer and it would read 'normal' sd cards, but not sdhc cards. Went to Sandisk support - which requires back and forth via a web site (can't do e-mail) and trying to get an RMA was like pulling teeth. I finally decided it would be easier to buy a new reader. I bought a Kingston MobileLite and it required no more hassle and is working /much/ better (8.3MB/sec on a low price sdhc card). I've bought Sandisk products for years - and most have worked well, but this support experience convinced me to go with other brands.
