Product Description
Excellent underwater solution, won the 2005 Korean consumer award to best new product. Since then Dicapac's popularity has spread worldwide due to its reliability, simplicity and affordable price. This is your opportunity to get this item at direct distributors price. Comparing against a hard case, this underwater housing will allow similar use of functions on the camera, in many cases can go deeper and can be purchased at a small fraction of the price a hard case will cost. How deep can I go? On the box there is a JIS (JAPANESE STANDARD) approval depth rating of 5 meters. Although these cases were originally approved for a depth of 5 meters, the manufacturer has conducted extended safety depth tests for me to fully guarantee that these product can safely go on depths up to 18 meters or 56 feet without leakage. What is included with this purchase? -Water housing -Handling necklace -Zoom ring extender if applicable -UV coated view -Full set of detailed usage and care instructions Some details of the product..... -Great for diving, snorkeling, water sports, rainy days and pool, lake or river pictures -Fully weatherproof -Reusable seals that can be used hundreds of times -High resistance and each unit is pre tested on production IMPORTANT: A full set of detailed instructions includes the performance of a pre test every time you are planning on using this waterproof housing. Similar tests are also given for hard case housings. Please follow clear instructions prior to use and enjoy the new frontier of taking great quality underwater pictures. 3 MONTHS FULL WARRANTY AGAINST MANUFACTURING DEFECTS

1 out of 5 stars Bad choice for Canon A630   August 17, 2008
JMM (Texas)
The case was watertight, but does not in fact fit a Canon A630 functionally. When the lens is zoomed it often hits against the case's lens tube, causing the camera to malfunction. It's very touchy, and the lens covering evidently interferes with autofocus, as half the pictures we took were very out of focus. Not at all recommended for this or similar cameras.

4 out of 5 stars Good option for the price.   July 30, 2008

I bought this case before a trip to Glacier Bay, Alaska. My son and I went ocean kayaking for two days, and the case kept my Canon A630 completely dry. I didn't use it "on the water", and took the camera out of the case to take shots on land.
In the case, the A630's lens really didn't fit well into the opening, and therefore it couldn't completely open/expand to its full length. And, of course, the screen couldn't flip open inside the case for viewing.
Nonetheless, I bought it for protection from saltwater in the boat, not for underwater photography, and it functioned very well in that regard. Good value for the price.

1 out of 5 stars This item did not work for me at all!   March 22, 2008

When I put my camera inside the case, the extending lens would bind and the camera would not work. I had to remove the batteries, then replace to get the camera to operate. I never got one picture and through the case away.

5 out of 5 stars WATERPROOF CAMERA CASE.   February 12, 2008

Used the waterproof case for snorkeling in Aruba. It was hard to operate the camera buttons inside the case. I turned the camera on and turned off the display and just pointed the camera. You have to be careful when turning on the camera that the camera lens is lined up with the case lens area or the camera will display an error. But kept the camera perfectly dry. Took very good pictures for being under water.
The only other option for waterproofing is a very expensive plastic case specially designed for the camera. WORKS GREAT FOR THE PRICE!!!

4 out of 5 stars good deal for the price   November 29, 2007

Worked very well on our 10 day vacations to the beach.
I teached my 9 year old doughter how to insert, close and remove the camera and she was able to take great pictures underwater.
It is good at the beach also, cause you don't need to take care with sand and salt water drops.
