cool idea... not worth the price though August 7, 2008 M. Randall (Allen Park, MI) sure its a cool idea but this tiny gadget is a lot less complicated then you might think. basically 2 pieces and some straps. worth around 5 bucks.. not 15. in any case, at least it does its job pretty well. get it if you want to make videos on your bike or in the car, etc.
almost worthless as manufactured July 6, 2008 dissatisfied (ny,ny) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
the Velcro straps and instructions are close to worthless. If you spend the time to change the the straps to some much stronger gripping Velcro the mount will be ok for some applications. the octopus type mini tripods work much better than this action mount. i ended up using electrical tape to hold it on my handle bars. i think some of the reviews are for the flip camera here, which is fine, the action mount, save your money or be prepared to modify it..
Marginal Mechanically June 14, 2008 R. H. Hardin (OH United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
The directions ought to say that you cross the straps _after_ you run them through the respective eyelets. They may take the prize for hopeless directions, as they are. I give it a half hour to figure out as it stands. Not mechanically good enough to keep the camera from vibrating as it resonates with bumps in the ride. You'd need also some non-slip rubber interface to a handlebar under it, also, so that it stays put. Okay for a fixed support.
Fun! April 22, 2008 Brenda L. Jacobsen (Idaho) 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I purchased this product for use in the classroom and to make integrating technology into the classroom interesting and unusual. It has met and exceeded my expectations.
Ineffective, bouncy, over-priced April 20, 2008 Rodman Philbrick (Maine & Florida Keys, USA) 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
The Flip is a fabulous little device and you'll want the mini-tripod. Don't bother with the action mount. For moving shots the smoother image is hand-held.
