Amazon.com BOOM BLOX, is the first game developed in collaboration between two giants of multimedia entertainment, Electronic Arts and director/producer, Steven Spielberg. Spielberg is obviously a master storyteller and so knows a thing or two about blockbusters, but he also no stranger to the gaming world. A long-time gamer himself, he conceived the original idea behind Lucas Art's PC/Mac title The Dig, but busting these BLOX is an entirely new concept. Levels and Levels of Fun A Puzzle/Action game inspired by Spielberg's own search for a game that he would enjoy playing with his own kids, BOOM BLOX is designed specifically with the strengths and versatility of the Wii in mind. In it players can look forward to a fast-paced gameplay blending the simplicity of the wildly popular block game Jenga and the crazy complexity of a Rube Goldberg machine--devices that although performing very simple tasks are designed to do it by the most complicated means possible.BOOM BLOX features over three hundred levels, a variety of activities, a cast of over thirty wacky characters, and an easy-to-use in-game editor that allows players to express their creativity. It's visceral gameplay is perfectly suited for the Wii's interactivity. The action gets going fast and the fun never ends as you throw baseballs, blast lasers, save wacky animal characters, explore cool worlds and more!... making it the ultimate Wii blox-buster for 2008.Features:- Throw, grab, and blast your way through 300+ levels - Use fun action gestures and crazy virtual tools (like bowling balls, baseballs and fire hoses) to destroy your way through over 300 brain-twisting challenges.
- Fast-paced Multiplayer Action - Fun for kids and the entire family, BOOM BLOX offers action-packed interactive activities that takes Wii play to a new level of creativity and fun with single player, co-op, and versus gameplay. Up to 4 players at once.

- Make It Your Own/Share - Unlock characters, worlds, blox, and props throughout the game and use to build whatever you can imagine in Create Mode. You can virtually build anything you can dream up. Remix any level and share what you create with friends via WiiConnect24TM.
Endless Play and Replay Combinations Built upon a full real-time physics model, each player's BOOM BLOX experience can be as easy or difficult as you want it to be. Additionally, players can remix any level of the game in Create Mode using props, blocks, or characters that have been unlocked during the game. Players can also virtually build anything they can dream up. This makes for nearly endless play and replay options in what promises to be the latest must-have Wii title for the entire family.

Freakin great! December 4, 2008 V:) (Florida) Say you come home after a lousy day at work. A drink didn't help, and neither did the punching bag. Now what?! Easy! Queue up the Wii, pop in Boom Blox and prepare to unwind. This is the funnest game I've played in a really long time. It makes me get off the couch, assess scoring situations, swing my arms, and try to knock over 'Jenga' like towers with baseballs (or bowling balls) getting as many points as possible. And this isn't the only type of game available. There's a regular Jenga-style game, where you pull the blocks; a storm the castle, and a bunch of others. Team play is even more fun! I guess I should confess I'm not much of a thumb gamer (PS3, etc.), but it makes not difference. This game is totally addictive and by the time you're through, the smile on your face will say it all :)
This is really fun!!! November 19, 2008 Kathy P. 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This turns out to be a very challenging game. It can get very competitive when playing others, which makes it even more fun to play. This is fun for all ages. I am 62 and have a great time with it, and my grandson requested it for Christmas this year which made buying a gift for him very easy.
A lot of fun for adults and kids November 17, 2008 David A. Froning Great game. My sons (4 and 6) and I love it. There are many different modes and you can create your own levels. There are competitive and cooperative multiplayer levels, so you have a lot of options.
Fantastic game for the Wii November 10, 2008 Geocache Dad (Green Bay, WI) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We have had this game for a few weeks now and it is nothing short of amazing. The fact that the blox and the characters all have different characteristics makes the game fun and challenging. We haven't unlocked all of the levels yet, so there is still more to look forward to. An added bonus is the fact that you can create your own levels using the same blox and characters. My kids have been very creative in creating their own levels. I would highly recommend this game for the Wii.
Although the Wii is not hardcore friendly.. October 25, 2008 Jared A. Jaramillo 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
it excels beyond any other console in the puzzle genre. Being a multi-console owner, I hardly turn to my Wii for extensive gaming, but it is very easy to get lost in the addicting game play of Boom Blox. The title conists of a small amount of mechanics, but the puzzles and goals are built to be very challenging. You will find yourself starting a puzzle to pass a small amount of time, and end up playing for a matter hours. The game has a small adventure mode that consist of several different stories with different objectives. There's also a section that consist of straight forward puzzles, and the multiplayer componet is also fun. The only gripe I have is the lack of online multiplayer or co-operative story mode, this game would definetly be the best Wii game I've played if I could face off with other players head-to-head online, and if my wife could join me in the adventure mode. Boom Blox takes full advantage of the Wii's controls and technology and allows the player to decide their method of control, I prefer using a single remote by itself but I could see why someone would want to include the nunchuck to operate the camera easier. The bottom line, if you're looking for a grade A puzzle game or just something to make you actually want to power on your Wii then do not hesitate to pick up Boom Blox today!
