They include the chip! No need to take the time, or go thru the mess, taking off your old chip and putting it on the compatible's with-out the chip, every time you want to install a new cartridge! These are original Canon cartridges. They are just remanufactured. Meaning, they are cleaned, refilled, reset, and tested. We own a Canon Pro9000 and use these cartridges with no problems! I've had no problems with these refills. I have actually HAD problems (twice) with the yellow Canon cartridges. Highly recommended.

It's a little scary to buy ink from new sources - particularly with today's cartridges containing chips and the like - but everything went smoothly from ordering thru delivery thru installation and use. I'll buy again!
