The Pod Camera Platform is the handist camera accessory I have purchased todate. The bean bag base allows you to place a camera on almost any surface and get the picture you want. The delivery of this item was when they promised. Quality and sevice was great. Thank you.
Works great! April 15, 2008 Bradford B. Coolidge (Geilenkirchen, Germany) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
First off, let me say that I don't use the Pod as a tripod or stand-alone device (such as a minipod or monopod). I use the Pod (Yellow one) on the bottom of my Nikon D80 when I want to lay my camera on a brick wall, tree, or lean against a wall, etc., so that I don't scratch up the bottom of my camera, BUT I still hold onto the camera. I just use it as a stabilizing device and I love it! It works great for exactly what I want it to do. I've even had to loan it out to a few friends on occassion, and they've commented that they loved it too. It works great for wondering around in churches and cathedrals, when you can't use a flash and don't want to be intrusive by carrying a tripod or monopod around.

well constricted, but do not, I say do not try to open to see what's inside. Installs easy and works well and takes up little space. can even use on big 500mm canon lens on car roof or trunk for that "gotta get that shot" stabelized shot
I love this thing. November 11, 2007 bill homan (Spring Creek, NV USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I use the POD to take outdoor wildlife shots. I have used the POD with my cannon Power Shot IE, a small digital video recorder and even a small 20 power spotting scope. For me this thing works great. I can sit down and put the POD on top of my hiking stick and get a stable photo or take a video clip with no problem. The POD is great for me because it will form itself around the edge of a rock or whatever else, and it makes a good stable platform. I do not use the POD as a stand alone tripod but as something to steady the camera or video camera or spotting scope. It is smaller than a tripod and very easy to pack. This makes it great to throw into my pack and take off into the mountains. The red POD works really great for those shots with digital zoom were just a small amount of movement can ruin the shot. Or for video when I place the POD on a rock I have the stability I need and also the mobility to smoothly follow an animal as it walks past and or up or down a hill. I can keep the subject centered and have a nice smooth flowing piece of video. I would rather pack and use the POD than any tripod I have tried. This thing works great for me and I don't go out without it.
