Very nice product..... June 20, 2008 Floyd Goodrich (Alta Loma, CA USA) I have a Canon Elf and a Canon FS100 and this POD is just what I need to bring along to hold them in position when wanted. Don't think it would work too well with larger cameras, you would need one with a larger base, but this is great for my smaller cameras.
Works great! April 15, 2008 Bradford B. Coolidge (Geilenkirchen, Germany) First off, let me say that I don't use the Pod as a tripod or stand-alone device (such as a minipod or monopod). I use the Pod (Yellow one) on the bottom of my Nikon D80 when I want to lay my camera on a brick wall, tree, or lean against a wall, etc., so that I don't scratch up the bottom of my camera, BUT I still hold onto the camera. I just use it as a stabilizing device and I love it! It works great for exactly what I want it to do. I've even had to loan it out to a few friends on occassion, and they've commented that they loved it too. It works great for wondering around in churches and cathedrals, when you can't use a flash and don't want to be intrusive by carrying a tripod or monopod around.
POD camera platform January 19, 2007 Joel D. Reese (Kress, TX) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
A very neat idea. the velcro closer lets you adjust the amount of beads in the platform. I removed some to make it more maluable. The screw attachment is well mounted. Joel Reese
POD is a great help January 4, 2007 W. Lester (Fountain Valley, Ca USA) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
I take a lot of pictures, and the POD really helps me to make sure that I don't get blurry photos from shutter button shake (movement when I press the sutter button). I screw the camera to it and set the shutter timer to 2 seconds. It really helps for macro pictures. Just make sure that you don't open the hook & loop closure on the bottom. I wanted to see what was inside - big mistake! I spilled out about half of the little plastic pellets that were inside. Took me an hour to get it back to the way it was.
