Great Deal September 17, 2008 Mark Rinehart (Findlay,OH USA) Good camera for a great price. Takes very nice pictures and has plenty of options for most users. Amazon does a super job in shipping products in a very timely manner and with great care.
Good picture - long lag time August 29, 2008 Sharon (Eugene, Oregon United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I loved my 4 year old small, inexpensive digital camera, which took good pictures. But of course with more megapixels, you get a better picture. I like the handy size. What I don't like about this camera is that there is a long lag time before it is ready to shoot the next picture.
Happily Surprised August 27, 2008 krohgster (Rochester, NY) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This summer I was looking for a good, yet inexpensive digital camera. I agonized over which camera to buy, but finally was forced to purchase the Kodak EasyShare C813 due to its low price. When I received it in the mail, there was a significant lack of excitement as it was not my first choice. After using it to take well over 300 pictures so far, I am actually very happy I purchased this camera. The time between the button press and the actual picture being taken is almost nonexistent. The camera uses AA batters, however after all the pictures I have taken, I still have not had to recharge my 2500 mAh Ni-MH rechargable batteries. Not to mention the picture quality being much better than I had anticipated. When I installed the Kodak Easyshare software that came with the camera, my computer froze several times over the first three or four days I had it, forcing me to restart it several times. After those trying few days, however, I have not had any problems with it. I am very happy with my camera purchase, despite the software problems, and would definitely recommend this camera to other cost-minded individuals looking to purchase a decent digital camera.
not bad for under $100! August 25, 2008 Brian Novotney (illinois, usa) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
this camera takes really good pictures for the price you pay. however the screen is difficult to see when outside (the picture itself looks great on the computer once downloaded). after 2 years (yeah we paid more than $100 at the time) the flash finally gave out...my mother-in-law had the same problem with the flash within the fisrt year and kodak fixed it free. their service is excellent. i feel its kind of a throw away after a couple of years...this little camera was great for us and easy to use...so much so i just ordered another kodak product (Z1285 easyshare camera)...even though the flash has died we still use it outdoors and it continues to perform....
Disappointed With kodak August 21, 2008 D. Barton (USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased the Kodak C-813 in June this year. We had a Kodak DX-4330 for several years, couldn't have been happier with it, but it finally died. The reason we decided to stay with Kodak was the DX-4330 was so good. I had read reviews about problems with using the C-813 in day light but didn't think you really can't take outdooor pictures in daylight with the C-813! Boy was I wrong! You have to quess at framing your shots outdoors. Also due to no optical viewfinder have more pictures blurred due to movement indoors/outdoors. It is hard to hold steady will holding a camera out away from you. We did not have this problem with our old Kodak DX4330. Having to open the battery case to take out memory card is also bad design. The larger LCD viewer is great indoors, 8.3 pixels better, but the cons out way the pros on this cammera. My suggestion if you plan to take outdoor pictures get a optical view finder.I am now looking at other brands for the first time to replace the Kodak C-813.
