Product Description The Z20fd Finepix digital still camera features face detection to significantly improve your picture taking by identifying human subjects' faces in the frame (up to 10 faces) and in real time, determining the optimal focus and exposure settings for the absolute best results possible in any shooting conditions. Behind Fujifilm's face detection technology is a newly developed LSI chip combined with patented software that allows the FinePix Z20fd digital still camera to reach a level of performance in digital photography never before possible. And the sophisticated, intelligent software algorithms detect red-eye and correct it in-camera. More than just red-eye reduction, this is red-eye elimination, after the image has been captured, to assure every picture looks its best. The FinePix Z20fd with picture stabilization will automate professional photographic techniques to help reduce camera shake, freeze subject movement and improve low light background detail. Picture stabilization utilizes higher sensitivities, up to ISO 1600 in the Z20fd, an incredibly high signal to noise ratio, and faster shutter and operational speeds to deliver virtually blur free images where conventional digital cameras cannot. The Finepix Z20fd features high sensitivity of up to 1600 ISO at full resolution. It is combined with Fujfilm's advanced processor capabilities, shooting in low light environments with the Z20fd yields exceptional performance with less noise. The FinePix Z20fd is designed with style and fashion in mind for the youthful photographer that's on the move. The Finepix Z20fd features an xD / SD / SD-HC compatible slot, allowing the use of either xD picture card or SD media to store and transfer your photos. This convenient and flexible capability assures compatibility with a wider variety of applications than ever before, and allows users to choose the media technology that is right for them.

Great camera for the price and features. August 20, 2008 Adam J. Helgren (Nebraksa) I sell this, among other cameras at a retail store. So I knew what I wanted and liked before I purchased this. Canon is pretty much the best, but it lacks a couple of things I wanted, that this camera has, such as a non-telescoping lens, and a dedicated movie button. The menu system is nice, and relatively easy to navigate, but does kick you out once you make a selection, which can get annoying, especially when first setting it up. The only really big downside for me is the fact that the zoom button isn't by the shutter. Since it is on the backside of the camera with the screen, it is hard to use one handed. Overall, the pros outweighed the cons. This isnt the absolute best camera, but for the price, its great, which is why I gave it four, instead of five stars.
Excellent 'budget' Camera, Sub-par if you're used to mid-grade cameras. August 19, 2008 JenMtnGirl I bought this camera to replace my Kodak V603 Easyshare camera. I was looking to replace it with another like-quality camera, but with added megapixels & features. The Kodak originally cost me $279, so when I found this Fujifilm Finepix 10 megapixel camera for only $159, I was thrilled! I figured I would be getting WAY more bang for my buck. And on paper, it seemed like it had almost every feature that other, higher priced cameras have (like Canon's Powershot cameras). Well, I was disappointed after only a few hours. It takes lovely brightly colored pictures, INCREDIBLE close-up macro shots, but the shutter speed and response time left something to be desired. Also, the pictures all turned out a bit grainy, and with lots of purple edges when zoomed in all the way. What it comes down to is quality of parts. Yes, this camera does everything it says it will, but not as well as higher priced cameras. You get what you pay for. If you're just looking for a fun point & shoot camera, and aren't picky about details, this would be an excellent camera. But don't replace a mid-grade camera with this one. You'll end up let down. I returned it and got the Canon Powershot SD1100, and am finally satisfied.
Best Camera Ever August 16, 2008 Elizabeth R. Choate (OKC, OK USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have one Fuji camera, and this is the 2nd one I've purchased. I am so not disappointed! I love it! This is the only brand of digital camera I will ever buy. The features are wonderful, and the pictures ALWAYS turn out fantastic, even though I'm probably the worst photographer ever.
Wonderful Camera August 13, 2008 Robert Williamson (colorado) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is an amazing camera! I thoroughly researched my options before choosing this one & I'm glad I did. It was easy to learn how to use which was something I was looking for in a camera along with the color selection offered. This is a camera I highly recommend if you want something basic rather than complex. Don't worry about the picture quality as is clean, clear, & crisp. And a bonus I found is that when travelling in a car going around 60mph the pics turn out just as beautiful just as if you were standing still & the object was stationary.
love it! August 8, 2008 Jeffrey Brandt 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
